Yes, I wrote my name on the line 2x now, and I'm still waiting to hear what party I'm associated with.

One doesn't HAVE to vote republican or democrat. In fact, you can write anyones name on the line. Whether they meet the requirements or not is irrelevant
If we get Romney vs Clinton 2016, I might just write George Washington down on that line
actually, meeting the requirements is pretty relevant.

yes, and in doing so you would be giving up your vote for nothing. You might as well stay home and troll some more threads.

Referring to your previous post, there was nothing deceptive about my argument. These are the most common talking points we are faced with in our current political system. I am not going to waste my time on viewpoints that represent less than 5% of our population.

Libertarianism was a stretch but one that deserved a response.

Joe,

Your problem is you think the terms liberal and conservative somehow place you into either the Democrat or Republican party. It goes beyond that. I'm not playing your game.

The only thing you reinforced is how when I was at your the point in life you are, that it only mattered what the outcome was, not the actions which caused them.

If the right outcome came because of wrong ideas, it can be a very dangerous thing. Having someone like you on my side of the gun debate doesn't help me.

Giving up my vote for nothing?

So voting one of those 2 pathetic candidates in is voting for something? If so, I'm proud to vote for nothing instead of corruption, failure and deceit.
You should be ashamed to make that statement. Voted for nothing...

Many individuals, even on here, cannot perfectly place themselves in one of the major parties. The fact is, we have been voting for the "decent" of the shitty, and look where it has gotten us.

When something isn't working, any further continuation is moronic.

It really is quite a simple choice. No party will represent all of our individual points of view entirely. So, therefore; you are forced to choose which side best represents you as a citizen. If you feel neither does, then go vote for some candidate whom has absolutely no chance of winning. This is quite obviously your choice.

I'm sorry guys but unfortunately this is the system we have. Until a third party has established itself to the point of being a serious contender this is the way it will be. I have said repeatedly that I am not a liberal only that this side MOST represents me. That is all. I would love it if there were another viable choice. There is not. So if you choose to vote for a non starter by all rights enjoy.

I am not ashamed it is the truth thus far.

Understand the ONLY way any 3rd party will gain a majority, is if a majority vote for it.

If everyone, like you mention, continue voting for 1 of the 2 "possible" candidates, a 3rd party will NEVER succeed.

So again, I invoke my ending statements:
When something isn't working, any further continuation is moronic.

And until it is demonstrated in pre election polls that said third party is a contender. A vote for such is wasted.

I personally don't want or need any party. I just despise the populace and that's what why I will always vote for a Republican.

The only way anything will change is if people get so fucked, they drop this whole party bullshit.

Just look how Obama is fucking us. But liberals suck his wee little leprechaun dick. If we still had Bush and he said 100% the same idiocy, all you would be ready to declare a civil war.

No it is not. Simple as that.

Moreover, a wasted vote is a vote you make because you HAVE to choose one of the major parties, and then bitch and moan after.

You clearly comprehend why us citizens have the right to vote. It's obviously not to elect an individual who represents your ideals, wishes and hopes...

Who is bitching here exactly? I have not been the one to whine and complain thru this whole thing.

Not you in particular, but many individuals do exactly what you are advocating, and vote for one of the major candidates, even though they aren't really in favor of them. In actuality, they are just less in favor of the other "asshole". After doing so, they proceed to bitch and moan about the direction we take, even when the individual they voted for is elected. The list of individuals even here would be overwhelming

A vote for further corruption and deceit is a wasted vote. It is also a waste of money and livelihood, as we have found out.

I voted for obama. I feel he has attempted to do much for the american middle class. I do not necessarily agree w/ all of his views. Such as gun control. Over all though he has done a terrific job for the middle class. Which is me.

If you think you are going to get a candidate who meets every one of your political views, you sir are delusional. This is simply not how politics work.

Really? So when I voted for myself twice now, I wasn't voting for a candidate that met everyone of my political views?

Seems like you are the delusional one lol.
So far, nearly all of your statements have been illogical and debunked with ease.

"Don't vote for a 3rd party, because a 3rd party will never win" LOL. It's actually the EXACT opposite. A 3rd party never wins, because a 3rd party is never voted for.
Yeah, that's an excellent way to make the decision of who I vote for. In fact, I should just vote blindly, for the candidate will never fully reflect my views.
