LOL... yeah I hear you... pretty close, but still... for so many watts... I wanted to see higher yields... hopefully this new arrangement will justify the amount of lights I'm providing... it's just hard to justify putting so much light on such a small foot print unless it's going to yield higher, but I feel like the scrogs under 10 tubes flat with no side lighting did better. Maybe it was a better grow, or better soil health because it was 5gal's instead of 3gal's... but I swear I pulled more off those scrogs I failed to weigh. And there was very obviously deficiencies with this last batch from a few weeks after flowering began til the end, and I'm positive I affected yield, so I'm hoping to see better results with this soil.lol altar u got a hp!!!!!!!!!
The fact is that I was topping out at like 1000w when I had the extra big CFL's in the back too, and it was shoved into a 4x2.5' footprint... compare that to investing the same 1000 watts in an HID bulb with a bigger foot print that would probaby yield even better and it seems silly to use this setup the way it is if I can't do better than what the last run did.
I do think that scrogging under all flat T5's has great potential for high yields, and is probably the way I'd go if I had more room to work with so that I could maximize the footprint... but for now, I'll see if it's possible to get better figures out of all the watts I'm pouring into this tiny footprint by improving my greenthumb. I should get back to reading teaming with microbes, haha.
