That has been the best tent (4x6) I ever bought and I got it at a Kush Expo like 4 years. It was an off brand that at the time I had never heard of and they don't have any kind of branding anywhere on the tent but it looked well made and it only set me back $80. Sorry I can't help beyond that but if I had to pick a tent today I'd look at http://www.gorillagrowtent.com/ and maybe try to ebay it.

Next update I'll get the underside shots. They're thinned out and looking purty.

I have to complement you for sticking to your guns on a scientific analysis of the side by side. Thanks from everyone here who might have an interest in the outcome of this. If I had a second pontoon I'm not sure I could say I'd have the same self control.

as for Gorilla... it's a love hate thing... i love how the tents look, but i hate how they seem to have ZERO customer service. they also mysteriously stopped listing the 5x5 that i was looking at on their website. i know there's other sites that i can order that particular tent from still, but idk... if the manufacturer can't respond to direct customer queries, and if they have actually been having issues with that size... then i'm not sure i wanna take the gamble with their tents of any size.

ya know.. i just need to find a place that will let me design a tent, and they make it for me... i'm sick of all these tents that are currently available being overpriced, or just having every possible cut corner.

but on the other hand... i have been playing with hoophouse designs for this year's outdoor... perhaps that is where these garden funds would best be put to use...

That design looks raw for side lighting, my only concern is that the ballasts feed each others heat signature and you end up replacing ballasts in the end. This is me voicing my first thoughts, chaz already displayed pretty well that they take their time making those ballasts compared to the competition but still....


Said I would post a update pic, the NYPD bounced back and is looking awesome, just sent them all to flower. After getting the NYPD in check the skunk gave me some phosphor probs, or what I diagnosed to be phos correct me if I am wrong since I have not dealt with deficiencies at all but all seems to be kosher now. Shot of the white widows stem since I like that ones branching most, good candidate for main lining next time I start this strain

Whad up Hommies! Day 5 flowering update with Lemon OG and my Skunk Kush.

Well I can say that the Pontoons have shown tight internodal spacing and I see pistils within 3-4 days of the flip. The 420 on it's own I would wait 6-7 days on these strains. Might get to harvest these bitches quicker.



Had to thin it out this weekend since that canopy really fattened up on me. Overall I see vigorous growth with the leaves standing up where they would usually stay in a more relaxed horizontal position. Tent day temps are perfect hanging at 78-80 with both 420's/Pontoons so they're not driving up temps. I'm just bringing fresh air in with exhaust out. Don't need any AC with outdoor ambient temps @ 65-70 F.

Looking real nice there chaz, thought you were gonna grab a shot of the undergrowth since you trimmed? No biggie just curious to see how much a person with experience with these lights takes from the lower canopy, spliff obviously takes everything below his screen/grids. How many plants do you have in that 4x6? Looked like 9 to me but hard to tell and no movers on those right? I am sure with the pontoons you get a pretty good spread with those. Just wondering because the 420 I am fooling around with now in my 3x3 is just to see whether I buy a second one to go into the 4x6 I will be setting up over to summer to start my perpetual. But if the 420 really wows me I may not need another light since I have 2 300 w leds w/uvb and 3 90w leds w/ uvb, but was thinking about really killing it with a second 420, or getting a 200 for my veg and move my adjustable spectrum leds out of the veg, that is the least likely to happen though since LOVE how leds do in veg, its flower where the disappointment comes, and that just boils down to not enough penetration/lollipopping. Edit: well the above plan went down quick when I got my tax return today and am now the proud owner of a pontoon! woo hoow for federally funded grow upgrades! Best way i have thought of yet to stick it to the man lol.

I like the light rail but I would probably just stay with mounting my lights in the center with progrips so I could raise and lower them. Chaz or anyone else for that matter, I'm curious if you might consider running a pure sativa like one of my favorites Silver Haze, to see if they'd harvest any quicker with a pontoon.

Correct me if i am wrong gordo since i do not know as much about strains and strains as i like would to, but that white widow im running is sativa dom isnt it? Sure looks majority sativa,nirvana is really bad informing of their lineage... Kinda bugs me but what i have to deal with to get dood genetics in my area. And i appreciate the compliment, as soon as i get that pontoon i just ordered i will post an update here. Just started flowering this week so the time without the pontoon will be less than spliffs last harvest and i think we all saw the difference those few weeks caused.

Nate, Depends on the breeder but white widow should be sativa dominant. I'd check with the breeder though. FYI if your next indoor run is Maui Wowie (God's Gift) please consider me SUBBED! dammmnnnn

Gordo, Personally I like the Durban Poison for the pure classic Sativa high and body buzz which seems to last forever but like most pure indicas they'll have irregular flowering times and can take forever to mature. I will be very interested in seeing how the pontoon does on the DP

Ya it looks pretty sativa dom with the thin leaflets but to what extent idk. The thought of some maui cerebral stopping buds under a pontoon is more tantalizing by the minute, especially with all the pretty visible colirs they show on the nirvana site but i have seeds coming out the wa zoo right now. but next time i order its def on the list. What will be interesting is if this indica dom blue mystic can finish within a month and a half...:O

Kinda surprised you did not post this on this thread too chaz since you threw it up in the Induction general thread, lil broader thinking over there I guess rather than just posting about inda 420s success not new products..
Anyone else thinking potentially shorter life span of ballasts with this setup, possibly a 10ft detachable ballast to cut down on heat? just thinking out loud since I know my local shop has told me the ballasts on the igrows can need to be replaced obviously gonna be major differences between inda and those hacks, although as previously stated chaz got deep into the ballast thing, think that was on the other thread too though...

Hiya Natro! This vertical lighting system Inda-Gro is developing does have me intrigued. I see where there may be a rising interest in this type of gardening if plant counts are limited and your in an area where supplemental greenhouse lighting is necessary. Philips has recently really done a lot of work with their hybridization of HPS/LED and its benefits to fruit production. I see the Inda-Gro approach as complimentary to that emerging trend but at less watts/sqft.

Heat from the ballast compartments is negligible anyway but at this angle with heat rising one housing will not influence the other and they're moving on a trolley through wide open greenhouse spaces. Lastly the bottom an top brackets can be extended if you had to move them farther apart.

awesome, next thing you know it wont be about spinners but plant orbiters that move that bracket around in a circle lol. Maybe not but I forgot you mentioning that it was on a light mover, although its not that much of a stretch to think to put those on movers... Pretty cool that you can spread those out as well, did not give it the credit of being adjustable. Foot inserted into mouth lol. Still has the thought of a detachable ballast intrigued them at all or just never even been a necessity? From what I hear some reputable LED makers are moving towards detachable ballasts, but that is also cuz they have fans needed in unit to keep all the drivers and shit cool.... so not entirely comparable but you get where I am going.

Not enough hours in the day...I hate fucking plumbing! Why is it every time you have to go to Home Depot for plumbing shit it's a two trip minimum? Did plumbers get together long ago and just decide on how they can make this shit so difficult to find the right parts? Oh well doobie time then it's off to the big orange box to find some guy in an orange apron who probably needs the spliff more than I do.

Thanks Chron! The highlight of my day is visiting my gurlz. So far I would have to say the one thing, and it's early still at week one, but this strain is producing hardier branches with the pontoon and pistils within a few days. If I had to describe this grow the plants look more vigorous. Early indicators point to a squatter, higher yielding crop with the pontoon. Should make for some good tent grows. Gonna have to thin out the canopy this weekend for the second time. I'm betting these thirsty ladies end up being rugby players not basketball.

BTW after my steady bitching they dropped some info on their site for the pontoons. At least you can get some insight into the design intent. Still don't plan on selling them yet though. At least not on line. Ahh well it's a start.

K So the pontoon came in the mail today!! I flipped it over in the package and then snapped some close ups of the diodes and the heatsinks. Here is a pic of the girls before the pontoon and tent adjustment, mind you this is in a 3x3 silver edition was gonna take actual measurements of the tent today but forgot, but it is definitely bigger than that or the pontoon+420 would not fit in 36"...
Here is a pic of the tent wall so you get an idea of what the pontoon is adding cuz it is hard to see in the white. Then some pics of the girls in their new arrangement, much more spacious without my DIY fan stand.... Think I am gonna break down and buy the stand... not much of a carpenter, I like metal more...
Here is the widow, really having to tie her down now guess that is her sativa side coming throughThe skunk has bounced back well from its previous deficiencies and it is almost as tall as the widow now but not nearly as bent overThen last and most remarkable in structure imo is the diesel, it is next to the skunk in this pic so it is a lil hard to pick out but man am I glad I have the most seeds of this stuff left, really uniform structure.Then I snuck in the peep hole of my tent to snap a pic of 2/3 phytochrome leds doing their thing, could not fit them all in frame... I also included a snap of my digi temp, although the temp is not canopy temp, it is only 5 higher at the canopy temp, got another probe there just did not bother to snap a pic.
Excited to see some results, the early feedback for the pontoon for tomatoes is tighter nodes with more fruit, lets go GANJA!!

congrats on your pontoon brother Natro! You probably already know this but just in case for the 730nm diodes to be doing there thing for the Pfr switch you want complete darkness in the room. I don't think you're using a flash but even the viewer on the camera can keep the plants from slipping into their phytochrome state. It doesn't take much and I wanted you to be aware of it.
