Hey you full recreational states, what has legalization done for your prices??

Just what the title says. What has legalization done for your average price of smoke? Do more people grow? Has the amount of mexican mersh droped? Just wondering as ME is probly on the verge of rec legalization anytime now. as a caregiver who prefers to only work with a cpl patients, I dont want to feel pushed to have a larger operation to cover the same expenses. Im happy with what I have now, and dont want to make a fortune, and dont. I cover running expenses and thats about it. quality over quantity.

Anyways, id like to hear from some of you who have had to adapt to this new situation. and maybe how you did it. Thanx guys/gals.

Well its still illegal to sell independently. Can't grow in Washington without a medical card or buy from dispensaries without one. Everyone seems to think you can grow jungles, walk around freely smoking in public and buy and sell weed Willy Nilly. Its the same as it was before legalization.

Prices for people that go into dispensaries are roughly the same.

For growers its been like this:

so the rec users are basically still procuring their smoke illegally? and they cant grow for personal use? even with a plant count limit?

so, are they still busting average pot smokers for possession/ cultivation, growing (i know legally they are different terms, just dont really care about the difference) or whatever?

Basically. In Seattle and surrounding areas not really arrests. No legal way to buy smoke without a medical card still. Colorado may be different. I know their law was more friendly to rec smokers. Growing is still highly illegal without medical authorization. But on the east side of the state, nothing has really changed.

Honestly there's yet another dispensary going in 2 blocks from my house which makes 6 within a mile that I know about. Some of them are just abandoned (no traffic) I wonder if they're just fronts....

Prices run:
Kief $15/gram
bubble hash $15-$40/gram
Wax: 50/gram

Bud ranges from $6-$15/gram

The sometimes sell ounces for $175

I can smoke a 1g joint of kief for what I was paying for bud on the east coast.

In New Mexico we only have 23 producers for the entire state and the DOH stopped new applications. We have over 3500 people with cards (it's probably more by now). They are only allowed to grow 99 plants each. We run out all the time. I wish I had your problem of dispensaries on every block. :p
