Can Filter ok?

I'm looking for an appropriate carbon filter for a micro grow (2.5 x 2.5 x 3) area, venting with a 58CFM fan. As much as I would love to go overkill I want to keep the price as low as possible. At the same time I want something effective (zero odor). I've been doing a lot of reading and people seem to favor the Rhino Filters and Mountain Air... but what about the Can Filter brand?

The 2600 seems to have reasonable throughput for my system - 94 cfm - but is the quality there to eliminate odor?

Personally, I think Phresh filters are the best.....the are a lot lighter then most and last a long time.

Is longevity usually the main issue? If I were to strap on any brand name filter will I get 100% elimination for a grow or two... or do some actually 'leak' odor right away?

Can Filters are just as light as the Phresh filters. Can also has a "Lite" line called Can-lite Filters. I have the 600 CFM Can-lite filter. At $136 it cost less than the 550 CFM $145 Phresh filter, and only weight a mear 6lbs more than the lower CFM Phresh liter...

Pick either because they both the best, respectable, and "light weight" filters on the market. Since money is an issue, go with the filter that has the best price... For me it was the Can-lite filter (found here)...

What kind of fan is it? you are aware that booster fans, pc fans and others like them do not have the static pressure to pull air through the filter, yes?

Only reason I ask is because I have never heard of a 58 cfm inline.

It is a pc fan, (Scythe "Gentle Typhoon") designed to work better with static pressure then the standard. The market is mostly water cooling applications where they are pushing against a radiator. An inline fan would be much better but noise was also an issue I needed to consider. Given the size of the space I think(hope) I'll be ok...

You should probably look into some ONA gel. Adding a filter to that tiny fan will bring that cfm to about zero.
