Daily dosage question for those who have received rec

I have a question for those folks who have received their rec's. When you saw the doctor did he/she ask you how much cannabis you need to use each day? Do they then give you a rec that says you can use that amount stated, which in turn would determine the number of plants you can grow.

For example if I go to the doctor and state I only need 1/2 a gram a day thats only about an ounce every 60 days. That would mean I wouldn't need that many plants for my rec. If on the other hand I tell the doc I need 2 grams a day then that would be about 4 ounces a month and would allow me to have many more plants based on my rec.

In a nutshell do they ask you and presrcibe dosage? Or do they just give general recs?

Basically you receive your letter and that's it. No prescription. Cannamed has a little worksheet you can do to determine usage but that is only for your personal use.

Okay, thanks for your response. That should change soon if I remember correctly. Didn't the state have until the end of april to come up with limits?

Also, if I get a letter from castco bay or canna med am I good to go to start growing for personal use? Or do I then need to be approved by the DPH to be able to grow for personal use after I get my letter?

You are good to go. And the best the state can define is 60 supply which can mean anything.
