Jiffy Peat Pellets Suck..

I'm having a horrible time with peat. Whose idea was this crap anyway?

I bought a peat soil mix and my plant looks very overwatered when the lights are off after watering 1/2 litre
in a 7 gallon pot. The perlite it came with was obviously not enough so i did 20%
perlite.

I've also got those stupid acidic jiffy 7 pellets that are always drying out and clumping together forming
cracks that i can't afford. They don't even put enough peat in those pellets to begin with.

I use them for seedlings and clones, never had a problem w/Jiffy.

same here ..... i would never use a peat base dirt myself , but love it for cuttings.
