My vote is for Sannie. His KF will always have a place in my garden, it's in my Top 3 of all time. It has taste, Potency, and ridiculous smell. Straight fire, I have his Extrema going, and can't wait for that to be done. I'm a believer in Sannie and friends.

I have two vegging Herijuana's soon to go into full power veg here real soon. I've heard great things about the strain and Sannie. I am on the same quest for knock out dank and that's why I have it.

Yea, Lemon Skunk is the shit. I got it as a freebie one time, and its the stickiest plant I've grown, though I've only down a handful of strains (~6) in my experience. Its not gonna let you down, plus its light green and smells like straight up lemon pledge...highly recommended

All my strains will blow me away if I take a good 3 hits of a joint, not even a bong......

Dinafem Cheese, SAD, GDP, Bubba 76, Nirvana Northern Lights, Yumbolt. I have several more that I have not tried yet and expect they will do the same.

I let the plants go 12 weeks flower though 10 would have been enough. I used high quality LED and fluoros and uvb cfl. Organic dirt.

Most will use hps and take the plants down at 9 weeks. I think a lot of this quality issue is due to growers pulling them too quick and using low quality lights(hps), hydro may play a role too.

Nah, I dont think quality issue has to do with using HPS. I have no quality issues using HPS, not saying I don't want to improve but yeah...

Empirically speaking, all the best stuff is grown using either HPS lights or sunlight, period.

That's all the stuff that sells out at dispensaries, tests out at 22%+ THC, wins cups, etc.

I'm not saying you can't grow great buds with fluoro or LEDs, just that its a lot easier to get the high bud density that people want with HPS.

As to hydro/soil, again that argument has been done to death, but I have yet to see any evidence that one creates consistently better buds than the other. Each of the two ways has its own advantages and disadvantages, that's all.

The limiting factor to quality is genetics; its then up to the grower to do their job and extract the maximum quality they can out of a given plants genetic potential.

Wow! It is kind of crazy coming back over a year or two later and posting on the first thread you ever started on RIU. Lol! Anyways I have found some pretty good strains over the time I have been growing now. Just about every strain I have grown has been some top shelf weed, but there has been a few that stood above the rest. I would grow any of these strains again: OG#18, White Diamonds, Super Lemon Haze, and Pineapple Chunk.

I think you hit the nail on the head with this post. I completely agree with ya.

Hps makes for good yields and no other advantage. High thc and better cannabinoid profiles are different things. Dispensary buds are not the best out there imo.

Outdoor is looked down on around here btw and I do not agree with that either. To sum it up, no it is not proven that hps offers any better smoke than other types of lights. In my experience it is just the opposite.
