ok so i am using dyna gro grow, bloom, pro-tek and MAG -pro. I USE REVERSE OSMOSIS WATER and I am growing in Pro Mix SOIL. i have been trying to figure out why my plants have been developing CA & mag like deficiencies. ... So my question is, should i be adding a CALCIUM supplement to my feeding plan? Or does the dyna gro line include enough calcium already.

As of course i know the ph has always been correct 6.2-6.7, i give em a fresh water every 2-3 feeds to remove access salt build up, i am not doing anything like over or under watering. I am new with the RO system, just trying to workout the kinks

You are getting the cal/mag deficiencies due to using RO water-- they assume when they tell you what to mix that you will be using filtered water, not RO... with RO you have to add mack the calcium, magnesium, iron etc... in the right amounts....

I would use Earth Juice Micro-blast- it has a wide range of Micros including Cal/Mag... and it is real hard to over-use. Start with the lowest dose on the bottle- add again in 1 week at slightly higher level... if they improve- keep using at that level- if not, go up a bit the next week.

Good Luck-- we found the same issue in Pro mix- and that's without using RO!

appreciate it!!!! The DYNA GRO mag pro has a nice blend of sulfur , iron, and magnesium. But no calcium! Unfortunately i cannot afford any new products right now :(

Oh . Also. The DYNA GRO FEEDING CHART I FOUND ONLINE CLAIMED TO BE BASED OFF OF WATER STARTING AT 50 ppm. So im just a lil confused. My normal tap water comes out at 380ppm

Start w/ 250 ppm of cal/mag. Also bring your Ph closer to 6.0 if using Promix Hp as its a peat based "soil" and prefers a lower ph than general potting soil. I run it myself and have pulled down 1/2 lb plants without issue.

Also have you checked the runoff ph/ppm of your soil? You can use a product called "Sea Green" with will convert built up salts into usable plant food as well. It's pretty much the shit all the way around.

yes i do believe i am using the pro mix HP. So i will keep that in mind. And you say cal mag at 250ppm eh. Ok the CAL MAG I use is 5% ca 1 % mag. Still try 250?

If i add 5 ml of my GENERAL ORGANICS ca-mag it puts my RO WATER FROM 10 ppm to 350 ppm. Does that seem too high to start with?
Yes that sounds about right , there is added molasses in this product for the microbes and this product is most applicable to an Organic grower ..
And i gotta ask, why add the cal mag first ?
In simple terms it will buffer your water and create an ionic balance
