$60 Mylar roll VS can or 2 of white paint?

Does anyone know how much will mylar covered walls yield in comparison to flat white paint painted walls. If the figure is negligible Ill save my money.

you can use both. Paint all the walls with an easy to clean water resistant white paint. Then in selected areas which really count hang some mylar. Don't need very much.
The other option to mylar are some T5 sidelights with good reflectors hung against the wall.

Obvs mylar is better. But it depends on your ambitions. The better setup the better yield %.

yeah I know, so many things on the shopping list and I think this might be one area I can safely scrimp on. I'll stick with the white paint. Thanks for the replies people

paint starts to get expensive when you consider how many coats your going to need. if its a small space its not that bad. but your going to need atleast 2 coats of paint/primer and the tools to do it.

regarding the op question tho, does anybody have any side by side results that says mylar is better than flat white walls??? is the plant yield really going to be so much more with mylar???

ops sorry I didn't realize he ment difference in yield, im not sure how much mylar helps yield ,as this is my first grow, but having just white paint in my closet with lights on was bright in there, but when I threw up my mylar all of a sudden it was a damn tanning booth in there. Just test it your self and to me I was able to see the difference.

Basically I think what it comes down to is this - paint is easier, but more expensive and less reflective. Mylar is a little more finicky and you kind of have to be careful with it, and obviously it's a lot more difficult to work with than simple paint, however it is less expensive if you get it at the right places, and has a much higher reflective quality than paint. However, this may be for just emergency blankets only (probably), but Mylar Emergency Blankets sure as hell do hold a lot of heat.

My votes for the Mylar you pay for the energy of your light I want the most reflective light possible for my money I'm going with Mylar. Plus it's easy to set up you don't need to buy tools or do hours of labor, more can be recieved from less. The Mylar is cheaper and more reflective two main reasons why I would go with it.

snagged up 4 50ft 2mil rolls of mylar on amazon for $20 each ^^

will be painting walls after i drywall, then using mylar on the botton 4ft of the wall, where most of the light reflects.
