First time tent grow! HELP NEEDED!

First ever grow so bare with me!

I have 4 uk cheese plants in a small grow tent. Grown from seed in soil. They're 2 weeks into veg 18/6 and just showing third set of leaves. I have NOT given them any nutrients yet...

They're just starting to go slightly yellow on the edges... is this because they now need nutes? I thought they would go a bit longer without..

Im going to put them into flower this week so was just going to start them straight on flowering nutes without any veg nutes... Any pointers welcome! cheers!

Hiya mate, uk cheese? yeah got two of those (2nd Generation Clones) on the flowering at mo, (UK cheese was born near me...:eyesmoke: many years ago...) Anyhoo yeah ,mate feed her, Bio Grow before you cut the light, then still feed Grow nutes and flower nutes,,,,,,Bio Bizz Chart Below mate Bio feed Schedule.jpg plus heres a pic of my two lovely little ladies under a 270W LED Cheese Flowering Week 3 (3).jpgCheese Flowering Week 3 (4).jpgCheese Flowering Week 3 (8).jpgCheese Flowering Week 3 (12).jpg

i looked at the fox farms website, got their suggested feeding schedule, and then found stuff out there with about the same n-p-k for a fraction of the cost. i am 9wks into flower of my first grow and i've got some sativa buds that are reaching for the floor they're so heavy. also want to emphasize that a uvb light source is critical during flowering. repti-glo 10 cfl x 2 will increase trichomes 300%. Good luck.

What is your soil? You are 2 weeks from seed??
Depending upon your soil, I would think it a bit too early for nutes. Got any pictures?
If you go with nutes, go easy .......

Yeah, isn't it dangerous to us tho, can cause skin cancer and cataracts of the eyes? fair enough I totally understand the theory of UV on plants, as trichomes are the plants natural defences against the suns UV (THC is UV protectant) but it doesn't have as much impact on the plant growth as IR. But that's got to be the right Nm and blended in with the right red etc... basically trying to match the suns ratios ; Heres some info I got from the Web ; As Sunlight contains 4% ultraviolet radiation, 52% infrared radiation and 44% visible light.

According to NASA,
increased infrared waves can affect the speed at which plant stems grow.

A short exposure to far infrared light increased the space between nodes when the exposure occurred at the end of an eight-hour light period.

Exposing the plant to ordinary red light reversed this effect.

A combination of far red and red light produced the longest internodes. Plants grown in light that is too light red may grow spindly and long-stemmed. So im working on different spectrums at the mo., the hardware works, we all know that but its now the spectrums and the pulse they are driven at (pulse modulation Tech) we got a look at now, Just my opinion that's all, not out to be a know it all, just sharing what I got.

i guess all of that is a little over my head. all i'm trying to accomplish with the uv-b is an increase in trichome production. i haven't noticed any effect on plant growth at all, negative or positive. but the increase in trichomes and hence the increase in thc production
is astonishing. and you absolutely must exercise common sense around uv-b. i have mine on it's own circuit and always turn it off before i even open the door to my grow.

Bang on! that's the safest way and id love to test that sort of set up, already spoken to other engineers with the idea of having mixed banks of 'mixed spectrum' light pods and 'UV' pods all together but the UV weill only come on after the others have gone out! But your bang on! It does really really increase Trichome production, so does darkness. Have you got any pictures before UV and after UV has been applied? that' would prove that theory bang on then, no more arguments. lol

What makes me worry is there are loads of LED lights out there with quite a lot of UV lenses in them and no warning to the affects of it...

Cheers buddy! Girls are looking good! Im 7 days into flower now, using nuets every time i water(should i do that) and there is still a lot of yellowing on all four plants.. One of the plants has also started to droop. I can only see this as been over-watering but i wait till dry till i water... usually every 2 days..
