No. not yet. I don't think the water-cure is for me just yet. ... maybe I'll test it out on a small piece one-day but tbh its easier for me to dry bud anyhow so no need for improvement.

I did see a while ago some artistic pics of bud underwater. they looked cool as the water suspends the hairs and trichomes and spreads them out.
 
Sounds sick with the bud underwater. Just found a thread about it. But its not what im doing. Im just soaking the roots or stem. Then airdry after 3 days. Have i had RO i might try water cure with a couple of buds :) Could get some nice pictures :)

When growing next to the GDP which has much more solid buds with amazing colors and more crystals and stays nice and stout with incredible aromas, it falls a little short. .. Its a nice smoke. I chopped some last week and I'm enjoying it but IMO .... what we are trying to do as indoor cultivators is search for the BEST. OK is just not good enough for me, unless I can honestly say its a 9/10 then it needs to make way for different genetics.

I'm trying to get through all my testers ... I really want to try a 'Chernobyl' and get that golden ticket pheno.
 
Electrical problems guys.

Over the past few months some of my domestic sockets have been burning-out. The plug on various devices has literally been fused to the socket. It just happened now on the main plug for the grow-room. I'm worried Im over-loading and a little unsure what to do next.

I've replaced the plug fuse (which blew) and turned off the large T5 and other domestic devices to reduce power. hmmm. any advice on what I should be doing?

Also, will it help to remove some of the numerous spot lights I have in my home?

My tech problems continue also. .. I will have it sorted completely in a week or two but if I do disappear suddenly I'll be following on my TV. Great work done by all.

Damnit i look at my girls several times a day how the .. could this slip through me? What would you do? Should i harvest now? Or how long would it take for the seed to be mature enough to have a little seed harvest to?

OK .. called the dude at the hydro-store for his opinion. Found out my issue. running toooooo much power from single cable. :wall: ... His advice, run more extentions to the room from different sockets ....... why isnt this all easier? LOL

How many have seed Hydro? Are they all clones?

I would probably leave it for now myself. but would be looking for different genetics next time.
 
How far is a fuse panel from your crawl space Moe ? Maybe the best route is to run a sub panel real quick and this way you won't be spending money on a bunch of extension cords and never mind less of a risk.

You can run a 50-70amp 220v breaker in your new panel and the run a 6 gauge power line to a sub panel where you can run what ever you want.
 
Its just one plant. Have only found one immature seed(lol15mins later lets say 12). Its an autoflower from seed. I guess the stress from temperatures was enough to make it hermie?
Dont seem to have affected anything else. And i can only spot a seed in the top cola. Seeds starting everywhere.. Cant believe ive been so blind..
Phew nice one with the electricity. I have to pull a new cord to my garage before putting up another 600w. Kitchen outside lights and garage all in one 16amp. Dude that had this house was a moron :)

The fuse panel is in my hallway directly above the crawlspace. .. When I had some work done last year I noticed - its chased into the wall and down into the crawlspace and spreads out to the various sockets, all that cable work Is in another 'unused' area of the crawlspace.

Oh, I don;t mind the money. It an 1/8th of this mediocre cheese Ive been growing. ... I DO mind risk. ... Ive re-started the grow-room but turned off the 2 veg areas and also that large T5 I have in there. Ive also turned off that massive fan until I re-route some power. I have another thick cord extention I'll use.

Thanks for your advice EVO. really appreciate it bro. .. at first I when I read your suggestion I thought 'hmmm too much trouble' .. now im thinking 'too much trouble but maybe necessary'.

tbh I just want a couple more grows under my belt before I use a more suitable property for my hobby.
 
Yah I'm working toward's a new grow space as well. Well a bigger, dedicated, permanent spot. I am looking to get into a commercial garage space hopefully with a build-able loft space to do a second floor where the grow room would be. This way I can keep my car, my bike, tools and other toys. I'll be able to pull right in with what ever and shut the door so there's no prying eye's.

It sounds to me like you would have a really easy time running a sub-panel. Your probably going to be stuck buying more 6 gauge wire than you need is about the only thing i see. You got no electrician friends over there huh ? lol. I bet I could do it easily and quick and Im no electrician. lol. I know some people don't like messing with electricity too. If you run the sub panel underneath your craw space you won't ever see any wire's up stairs and when you leave it's all removable and useable again.

I'm quite good at following instructions. I never really went to school but taught myself trigonometry, algebra and even a bit of calculus too. Ive got a reasonable handle on electrical laws like ohms law etc but when it come to the practical Ive tended to put my faith in others. .. I may read up and apply myself. .

.. as for electrical friends, Yes I have 1 or 2 but NOBODY apart from 'the grocer' and you guys know that I grow weed,

So many glitches in growing. This is quite a minor one but when I think back to the work Ive put in. LOL

I like the plans you have. I would love a space I could just drive into. .. I'm looking at commercial premises too. With the economic downturn its cheaper than domestic and has generally less prying neighbors. ... I'm currently looking at a work/live premises with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with large walk-in shower area's, large kitchen and 2 studio spaces. It has large industrial ducting fitted throughout. ... its also around the corner from my local hydro-store. lol

not sure I will go for it. Its really taking the growing to another level.
 
Moe did this start since U added that new light? I worry about my circuits too, so you have to count your wattage in each item, and extension cords are dangerous too...if things are burning out upstairs then sounds like the whole thing needs a revamp, maybe add a breaker box onto the system from the box downstairs.
 
IMHO, the most important factor in growing indoors is electrical safety, as heavy amperage consumption with hot temps and lots of water makes volatile & risky conditions.

Moe...I like the idea of a sub-panel (use 6 AWG or better) or at least use heavy duty extension cords (12 AWG) from alternate breaker feeds....but you also have to look at your overall power consumption, as your house only has so big of a feeder cable, with limitations. So know your household power capabilities, as that is your ultimate power limitation.

From the houses I have seen in Europe, the power feed cable is much less than in North America....my apartment in Spain was feed with a 10AWG / 30 AMP, but 220 volts which does help.

I have known people to burn up the cable from the power pole to their house...this is not good as the power company must be called, who will investigate why it blew

Since I added the new light AND a 8 bulb 4ft T5 And another 2ft T5. plus fan. ... I more than doubled the usage. .. Yes, youre right, a breaker system would be the correct thing to do. I will probably try and mange with an extension though and try and spread the load. Also I'll switch to an 18/6 veg although Ive always done 24hr.

atm My nerves are a bit frayed. I got relationship problems, I got neighbour problems, I got electrical and computer problems and cash flow problems ... and now Ive picked up atheletes foot, possibly from my swim last weekend. .... <sigh> ... not a good week.

The fuse box reads - NOT TO EXCEED 100AMP 240V

I'm guessing a sub-panel requires electrical installation to the main fuse-box. Its not something I can just plug-in is it? lol

I'm guessing it requires adding a new fuse into the main fuse box and running thick cable downstairs to the newly installed 'sub-panel'?
 
You add it on the the existing breaker box, old box feeds new box and new box spreads out the load..we have a 100 amp breaker box for just our hot tub, do you know an electrician? It's not hard to add the box and they are not expensive, tell the person at the building supply store you want to add a greenhouse, I would probally put in a few GFI resettable outlets...they blow the fuse before burning out... and I hope u have a smoke detector...
