Hey everyone this is my indoor northern lights plant at 16 days old under 90 watts of cfls. My question is does she look big enough? I see these dudes with already considerable sized plants after 2 weeks. How the fuck do they do it lol? Btw that really barky potting soil was put in to cover the stem a bit and is only on like the top 2 inches so it's not constricting the roots. The rest of the soil is a mixture of pretty good quality potting soil and a little chicken manure. Thanks and peace.

They have actual lighting. 90 watts is not that much. Is that actual watts or "equivalent"

I seriously doubt it's the lights they are only small and people say you need 100 watts per plant and the cfls are pretty damn close to her.

could just be taking her time to fill out her roots..no biggie man, looks good.

are you making sure to water properly? h2o + co2 + light energy yields atp and nadph which with the co2 yields glucose, or plant energy. without sufficient h2o, youre stuck.

cfls can be within 6"

maybe too much then? the best time for the to suck up water is when the mediums drying out, that "sponge" stage.
I had an overwatering problem at the start but im quite confident that i have rectified it and the water it is getting is the correct amount and at the correct frequency for my pot.

well thats why the plant is a tiny bit small..

they light the night to be 5-10f lower than daytime temps.

Do you know your soil or water pH? Brand name soil or...? It's just one 90w CFL or...?

If you really had an over-watering problem at the start then that probably contributed to the stunted growth. Personally, I'd remove the bark and put in some more soil instead.
