You're going to have to replace the soil, even though roots will eventually outgrow your holes...which won't matter in the long run.
Avoid MG bagged products, for one it will cost a fortune for the amount you need but importantly will not feed properly over the long haul.
3 parts peat
1 part castings
1 part perlite
1/3 cup dolomite lime/gallon of the above blend.
Peat has an average ph of 3.5, great for blueberries but not cannabis. And pine needles do not cause acidic soil, did some research on that:

So you still need the lime, plus dolomite lime contains calcium and magnesium. You will also need a bit of additional nutes, almost any non-chemical granule will suffice commonly sold in nurseries.
Unless that is you have a home depot up there, then grab some Epsoma...1 $20 bag should do the entire project.
