hi, i am newbie and my plant is 7 weeks old. yesterday something has appeared on the top. i'm giving 24 hours light and i think it mustn't flower. so what's that then?

also, does it seem healthy? what do you think?

agreed, looks more like new growth to me......and yes, it's lookin healthy, keep it up.

:roll: I've heard of newbie's but wow :roll: Topping is cutting or pinching the new growth off the plant. I recommend you read the growfaq again. Good luck!

no man, i've heard about topping of course :)

but i don't know how to top it. i found few examples in this forum, however, none of them looks like my plant's top. so i'll be glad if you help about how to cut the top of my plant in picture.

-hahahahahaha this thread is hilarious. Also, you may want to consider your options a little more carefully than just topping because it looks like its the right size. do you know what kind of plant it is, or know someone who has grown the same variety before? some strains respond very well to topping, and you can top twice and get 4 huge colas. Some strains, however, do not respond well at all, and you could end up with a couple skinny colas that would not equal the size/weight of what you would have had if you had just left it alone.
-My advice is, unless you know that topping will be beneficial, leave it alone... just a little pruning of the bottom leaves so the plant can concentrate all its energies on the upper buds and top cola. you'll wind up with bigger buds if you prune right, but like I said before, make sure u know what you are growing or at least know someone who can tell you how it will respond to what essentially amounts to surgical amputation for plants. especially if you only have the one plant, you wouldnt want to ruin it, especially when theres already a 50% chance it will go male.

:) yeah it's hard to be newbie...

i have 4 plants and i have no idea which type my seeds are...
also figured out that 2 of them are males. now i wonder :

1) i know everybody cuts the males down and just grows females. if i don't mind lower thc, can i keep my males growing? also they will affect females surely but is it so important?

2) they started pre-flowering. should i give them dark now, (should i get the flowering phase now?)

That shit looks weird to me, I'm no pro but I'm not sure why everyone thinks its Heath new growth. I kinda thought it looked like a male bud.
Can you upload another picture like the birds eye view one but just on a little angle

Is it in flowering stage??

yes mine was somthing like that (the picture that you attached). and i cut that as everybody told me to top.

Its a male get rid of it,, I just got one that looks just like yours.. It must just be pre flowering because Im in veg stage.
So this means everyone that left a comment in this thread is a idiot Jk.
