thought i would show some pics of my homemade carbon filters. got the carbon from wally world and the plumbing from home depot. i wish i had taken pics of it as i was making them but i didn't know if it would work, well it does. i still got to make a mount, but the wire spool works for now.

Do you have a fan attached to it somewhere?

yes i have a bathroom exhaust fan mounted in the inside top of my box. it has a 3" outlet so it wasn't hard to do. the hard part was finding everything the first time. there is a grill type piece inside of the filter that i had to do some work on to make it thinner but other then that it is all store brought.

I would allow your plants to chill, they need time after a transplant to un-shock. The fact that your lower leaves yellowed and died is not good, very nitrogen deficient, I wouldn't worry about your ph as much as adding nitrogen every other water. The plants look stressed to me, just my two cents. Good luck, peace!

during flower? i have read where people say to keep the n going during flower, but i have read more where more people say not to give n during flower. i transplanted on march 16 or 17, after i got the males out. the next round i'm gonna try to veg one for a little before i go 12/12. they could be stressed from the transplant as that was the second time. i started in dixie cups and will never do that again.

looks good man on the filter set up! i have the bathroom fan as well but vented mine to the chimney so i dont really need a filter! not yet anyway? and if your plant is asking for Nitrogen you probably should feed it some, then back off of it. never heard of the coffee thing but maybe you washed all the nutes out of the soil? im still trying to figure out why my plants look so bushy and not so stretched out as alot of others i look at? pretty similar setup as yours tho. check mine out-https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-fluorescent-lighting/630260-1st-cfl-grow.html - and i started mine after germinating them in the potss that there in!

i found another problem, the last couple of times i watered i used a half gallon each and it has been almost a week, and the soil is still wet so i may not have to water for awhile. easy to do i guess i either over or under water. thinking about a lite dose of 10-10-10 on next watering.

plant #2 is a little taller, and the second one to flower.

They are looking better now. Seems like you may have gotten the nutes and watering figured out. I would paint the inside of that box flat white before your next grow also.

i have one that is a little dry on top to maybe 1/2" deep, the other three are still a little damp. i had some poster board to pin up and had to give it away, i get a buzz and forget about it. i will paint it before the next round. i'm also going to do something different on the lights. i still haven't gave it no nutes maybe a small dose, but it is getting close from what i can tell, cloudy but no amber.

This is my last plant, running 305w total, and it wasn't noticeable on the bill, maybe 8 bucks a month, if I did the math right.
I ended up with 2.7 oz. dried and cured.

i'm not going to get anything like that from this grow, but i'm not giving up. good to see you around again. wasn't you running 23 watters or did you have a mix? the wife had the windows open and the house was hot. i closed them and hit the a/c and the temp said 79. i check on the girls and it was 92 in the box. i got it down to 89 and then it was time for the lights to shut off. already planing on another setup to go along with this one, bigger with a better exhaust fan. well how much better was the smoke you grew over what it came out of? mine was some pretty good for what can be found around here, i hope it comes out good.

Thanks man, just had to take a break for a bit, then I had company.
My son, grandson and G-son's mother came to visit.
Damn, I forgot how much energy kids have!
Ya man, my 5000k were 13w and the 2700k were/ are 23w.
Right now I have 8 of the 13w, and 4 of the 26w (2 are floods).
I was running my lights for flower at night so I wouldn't have to run a heater, but with these vegging, I am 24/7, but thinking of going to 18/8 with my off time from 12-6 P.M. when I'm hottest here since we're starting to warm up now.

i have been talking to the wife about growing outdoors and she said to just build a bigger and better box and keep it out of sight. i got a out building and plan to add a/c to it and go to town. i had 4 55watt lights but i have already replaced 1 and now have another that has gone bad, just got them in feb. but them lights are hot. i did get a 48 watt but it is in the back, i believe i will take a temp gun home to check what their doing. i know the 23's run cooler and i'm thinking about going over to a bucket full of them. i know about the kids as my 12 year old grandson stays at my house, and he is a handful.

tried to log in last night to post this weeks pics but the site was off line for some reason. i tried to do it from work but it will not pickup the link, so i'll post them tonight. ordered a new magnifier double lens, the big lens is 30x and the small one is 60x now i might be able to see what i'm doing.

Not gonna lie, this girl has loads of problems, looks like 3.5 gram plant haha. Not taking a shot at you or anything, but I think you over complicated everything. You'll have better luck with more fans, good soil, and just water your plants with PH 5.5-6.0 water veg for 30 days and add nutes when you flip to 12/12.

well i don't mean to sound rude, but no shit. if you have read the hole thread then you wound know that this is my learning curve, biggest mistake made is over watering. i don't have all the soil testing stuff i need so most of it is by the seat of my pants grow, and only the second time to grow indoors, and first time for female plants. i have always been a outdoor grower that watered when i had to and got them when it was time. my next grow will be better and i'm gonna stay 12/12 from seed. there are two fans and 4 plants and yes i did have a few problems. i am trying to find some fox farms soil but have been talking to the wife about air or hydro.
