First time. Cheap, discrete, and effective

Let me see here... little over 2 weeks in since sprout. Day 3 flowering.

Watching like a hawk to sex them. No sign yet, of course.

Repotted WAY too soon, you can see the one on the top-right is having trouble standing straight up. Besides that I think they look pretty happy. Temps are up a bit so I took out the 2 26w cfl's. I just don't have the exhaust to move that much heat out, and don't have the mula to upgrade. What's the best compromise? High temps or less lighting?

Just took the picture after given em a water and a splash of nutes.

Just spent the night doing a bit of a ghetto job for mine, but think I might have it sorted now. How's that gamer fan workin out for ya? Reckon it'll be able to push the air through the carbon on it's own?

your fucked. they looked good as sprouts. no need for nutes in soil for plants that small, thats what the soil is for it has nutrients in it.
go to some ghetto thrift store like good will and take a fan out of an old computer or something.
it one thing if your doin it for shits and giggles and another if your tryin to actually produce somethin worth smoking. you need all the light you can get specially using cfls and you def need at least a legit fresh air intake or just leave your door open. you dont have a closet or somethin you can grow in or somethin that box isnt worth all the trouble your putting into it.

Directed at me or mewk69? Sorry man, how am I fucked? You gotta clarify for me. I got a fan, got intakes, got enough lights that the size of the box and exhaust can handle, and last I checked (an hour ago) they're lookin pretty happy with the nutes I gave em'. I am ACTUALLY tryin to produce somethin worth smoking as I smoke regularly AND I been getting plenty of shits and giggles out of the whole project, sorry I don't get your logic. Don't have a closet and I don't want to go any bigger cuz then it gets too heat for what I'm willing to deal with. Personal grow man, totally worthwhile to me. Thanks for the input though.

Thanks man. Gamer fan's workin all right. Definitely could use more push though. I've been thinking the same thing, might have issues once I throw a scrubber on it. If anything I'll double up with an extra fan, or look into upgrading to something a little more heavy duty. So far no stank though so just letting it flow right through as is.

They've only just started showing sex. By my count it's been pretty well exactly 2 weeks since I kicked them into flower so they are delayed a bit. I'm thinking that's because I started flowering at such an early age and they needed that extra bit of time to 'sexually mature'. Does my logic sound right?

Right now the bottom two are confirmed ladies. The top-right is a possible male, but I'm still unsure so I'm watching like a hawk. The other two aren't showing yet so I need to wait. I would be happy with just the two gals but the more the merrier, right?

Question: I think I'll have sufficient space (height-wise) but I wanted to LST a bit just to be safe. I've been avoiding it for now because I don't want to stress them right when they are showing sex but is it ok to LST after they show sex? or is it best to just leave 'em?

Yup, 2 males for sure. Clipped all their leaves and gunna press them in some books to make use of later, really like the look of the leaves. One is still not really showing sex.

Doin good almost up to 300 watts adds up quick. Kick up feed and watch close,bad signs splash w/water to rinse roots a bit,good or nothin she's an eater keep it goin. If your media/soil is draining well pot size good for a bit,let root mass build foundation then repot. I personally like nights cool +52* was my best run so far. Hang a sock to wick water from bowl to increase humidity.(just saw this never tried makes sense) good luck

Yep, you had it right about them taking longer to go into flower. When you switch a young plant into 12-12 or go 12-12 from seed the plant will grow to the minimum it needs to be before starting to flower. Also its best to lst when they are in veg but as long as you are gentle you can do it in early flowering

Thanks man. Ya I figured that would be best, lst during veg. But times a tickin for me and I'm worried they won't finish by end of april. Actually, I'm 90% sure they won't since they JUST showed sex. Hopefully I can trust my roomie to take care of them well and follow through with harvest. I've got them bent over to try and get one offshoot going and have two leads per plant. I hope that'll keep em short enough, it should I think.

And I never got around to trying the sock idea. I repotted shortly after and with the bigger pots holding more water humidity went up to a good level. But definitely a great idea for when seedlings are in smaller cups. Was good to see the roots on those males had developed quite nicely in the bigger pots too, tells me the females are rooting well!

So I mentioned I'd try to lst these ones. This is all new territory for me (as is this whole operation!) but so far they've responded well to it. Was pretty rough with one plant and a few hours later I noticed brown spots where I think I damaged the leaves (sorry, don't have a good pic of the damage). But I think overall they look pretty healthy.

I'm looking for opinions on heights too. I measured 7 inches to highest point of plant (from dirt level) and I've got 12 inches till I top out with the space I have. I started flower 25 days ago but they only showed sex 11 days ago (due to early flowering). Am I going to be ok?

Any rough guesses on how much longer to expect these guys to finish? I was hoping end of the month but I can't see that happening.

you could run out of space, but if you keep LST'ing them they might be ok.

And you should finish May 4 - May 11 according to my math..maybe a lil sooner if everything goes perfect.

But be patient, everything looks good so far. Keep doing whatever it is that you're doing.

Doin fine my friend keep them bitches down. Worst is done I'd say what's up with temps? Get heat out cool will follow. I'm cooling with filtered air inside my home ducting from my basement 50*-65* year round no a/c. I assume about 6 wks after show if early up to 9 but seem to be peppy think 6. You'd cry if I treated yours like mine my grows a mess right now got gifted 15 clones when already doubled up.

Ha dude! Ya I don't think i'd fit 15 clones in my space. I'll just stick to dreamin about a nice big grow room... someday. Temps have been golden, finally got a happy medium. Usually around 78 lights on and down to 60 lights off. Ya, a bit low at night but they seem to be doin ok with it and that's the best I can get. Almost there though! Getting excited!
