Just remove it very carefully, doesn't look like any sacks opened up.

I grew Milky way from kiwi seeds in 2007-ish. Hadn't seen that name for a while.

Actually-- it is a hermie-- I see hairs and pods-- so you got a bad batch of feminized seeds- most likely 'selfed" which can hermie quite easily..

check everything-- lights, temps, nutes.. check for a light leak... Most feminized seeds won't do that unless there is a real problem in the grow room- usually a problem with the 12/12 cycle having light leaks or not being on a timer....

That is not true.
I have selfed plants and none of the resulting plants have been hermaphrodites, or produced male flowers.
Have you ever selfed a plant? What are you basing your opinion on?

Selfed plants can not produce a real hermaphrodite as the resulting seeds would not have a Y chromosome. Selfed plants would only be as likely to produce male flowers as the parent.

IMO most stress is caused by over feeding in combination with other stuff, but yeah, something is wrong with the environment.

I can't really comment on the quality of the milky way weed, it was my worst result ever. Not because of the seeds though (first time scrog, messed it up badly). The plants were doing great

No it's not common to get males from feminized seeds (there is no such thing as female seeds). And unlike LadyZandra I don't see hairs, just male balls and young leaves. I also don't agree with them 'quite' easily leading to hermies, BUT, it would certainly be more likely than a male, so maybe I'm just blind and not seeing the hairs.

Net result is the same either way, get rid of it as soon as possible and as careful as possible.

become interested in males popping out from a feminized seed
had a male pop out from some selfed seeds of my own making, still scratching the head about that one

Not true-- selfed plants have all the same chromosomes as the parent plant-- therefore- it is a hermie plant-- or it couldn't have SELFED.... YES we have done it - and have done it many times with other plants in Botany At GVSU....
SELFED means a HERMIED plant pollinated ITSELF-- so doubled-up on her HERMIE genetics.

Feminized seeds are not the same thing- but many people seem to think they are so pass off "selfed' seeds as feminized... Feminized means a female plant is turned into a hermie with chemicals- and her pollen is put onto another female plant- so that there is a mix of genetics... even if it is from the same batch of seeds- the genetics are not exact in them all...

Plants Chromosomes are NOT like humans-- they have multiple pairs that can show dominant or recessive--in more than just XxYy...

And I did NOT say that they would ALL be hermies-- I said they would be PRONE TO IT (Since the PARENT was a Hermie and there was no other Non-Hermie Genetics introduced into the mix) IF THE GROWING CONDITIONS WERE NOT RIGHT!

You are SO eager to jump up peoples asses with 1/2 the facts and all the convictions WITHOUT reading EVERYTHING that was written--

If you want to debate plant / cannabis genetics- at least read a book or two on the subject 1st..

I am very happy for you that you selfed a plant-- but was it GENETICALLY a hermie- or did you use chemicals to HERMIE the plant so it could "self" ?? MAKES A DIFFERENCE! If using chemicals to get pollen, then the original genetics make it less likely to get hermaphroditic tendencies---if it was already a hermie- then that is all the genetics in all the seeds...
And a lot of 'pollen chuckers' out there do not CARE about that difference, as long as they sell their seeds and don't get too many complaints..

Again- your "Troll" avatar is quite fitting....

Not disagreeing with your post, a. I have zero experience breeding and b. Ai would not dare  but while I ahree there are a lot of pollen chuckers out there, I don't believe that includes the kiwi boys. If I remember correctly two brothers or friends that came from New Zealand to Amsterdam, and supplied great weed to one of the most popular coffeeshops here. Not the best genetics, but as far as I know kiwi seeds are not your typical pollen chuckers.

If you start with a female plant and self it, it can not produce a hermaphrodite. A real hermaphrodite will have both an X and a Y chromosome. A selfed plant will produce a plant without a Y chromosome.

The resulting seeds will be just as likely to produce male flowers as the parent. That is not a real hermaphrodite, it is more of a monoecious hermaphrodite.

Feminized seeds are not the same thing- but many people seem to think they are so pass off "selfed' seeds as feminized... Feminized means a female plant is turned into a hermie with chemicals-
A monoecious hermaphrodite, big difference. To be clear, chemicals like colloidal silver do not stress the plant, they activate hormones.

and her pollen is put onto another female plant- so that there is a mix of genetics... even if it is from the same batch of seeds- the genetics are not exact in them all...
yes

Plants are not like humans in that you can back cross and self them with out problems.
I am talking about female cannabis plants grown for buds, not hemp or artificially made tetraploid cannabis.

And I did NOT say that they would ALL be hermies-- I said they would be PRONE TO IT (Since the PARENT was a Hermie and there was no other Non-Hermie Genetics introduced into the mix) IF THE GROWING CONDITIONS WERE NOT RIGHT!
What is with the yelling?
They would only be as prone to becoming monoecious hermaphrodites as the parent.

You are SO eager to jump up peoples asses with 1/2 the facts and all the convictions WITHOUT reading EVERYTHING that was written--

You do not even understand what we are talking about.

I am very happy for you that you selfed a plant-- but was it GENETICALLY a hermie-
Calm down.
No it wasn't. If you had read you would understand that by selfing, you do not alter the genetics significantly. You do not magically make chromosomes appear.

or did you use chemicals to HERMIE the plant so it could "self" ?? MAKES A DIFFERENCE!
You seem tense. Try decaf.
No it doesn't. If the plant produced male flowers as a result of stress, the resulting seeds will likely do the same under the same conditions.

If using chemicals to get pollen, then the original genetics make it less likely to get hermaphroditic tendencies---if it was already a hermie- then that is all the genetics in all the seeds...
I never denied that. Did you read the op?

And a lot of 'pollen chuckers' out there do not CARE about that difference, as long as they sell their seeds and don't get too many complaints..
Companies that sell bad, unstable varieties get complaints. But then again, people that do not know what they are doing stress the crap out of fem seeds. They produce male flowers then complain about it. More often than nor it is the grower's fault.

Again- your "Troll" avatar is quite fitting....
Your 'lady' handle is a misnomer.

i swear if one more person questions you trouser i will personally kick the shit out them. you know you shit, this is how i learned my shit and im thankful for that. im a 100X better grower for it.

so for al you jackasses who wan to question trousers, go ahead, but his answers are straight from the botany books, if you really dont believe him get the books and read them yourself, i did.

@trousers, why dont you make a thread? i would be more than happy to have a link in my sig as well as redirect people to it for all these "genetic" questions as well as help out myslef when i can.
