way too much and hopefully you wont be able to find one.

ah ahahhahaha. so true

If you want a space ship looking setup for a million dollars that puts out the stringiest scronniest buds evar....keep looking for your LED's

Otherwise go with a 400w HPS and don't look back. Some day...probably YEARS from now...there will be better, more efficient, cooler running light systems...and who knows...could be some super LED's from the future. But for now they are still a joke

LEDs can grow, but to be cost effective they are at least 5 years away.
Interesting. I've been curious about this technology for a while now.

a couple of buddies were talkin about it and I was curious.

Yeah I'm sorry if I sounded like a bitch, always worried bout that.

When I was out picking up my supplies a few months ago I too ran into some guy at a head shop talking about them, and that was the first I had heard.

I researched them for about 2 minutes and realized what was going on. Maybe some day but yeah...grab that 400w HPS and let it grooooow. (if you get an HPS bulb with an extended blue spectrum it becomes much more versatile. You will get better results in the veg stage than you would with a regular HPS bulb...but not as good as you would with an MH, but not everyone has two ballasts...or a switchable ballast) Did that make any sense?!?

Do we really need 6 posts in a matter of hours about LED lights? just add on to the post already made. sheesh.

and they cost a lot and arent worth it when you can get a HID setup for cheap and it will be just as good!

Plants dont 'see' light the way we do, and the goofy red and blue LEDs are...*drum ROLL* a complete scam! Woot!

all of the comments bashing the LED lights are just opinions it seems like with no expierence at all with them... how about some feedback from ANYONE who has used them. Get off the bandwagon.

And referring to Ender07 go read a little info about the lighting before you make dumb comments about how the red and blues are a complete scam. Check the color spectrum some....

theres not a lot of feedback on LED's because no one really uses them. they are a rather new thing not to mention a lot of people dont want to spend the money when they can use a hps/mh setup instead. I think thats why there isnt much feedback coming off the forums on LED lighting.

if youre seriously interested in persuing LED light systems Id suggest googling something like "led grow light reviews" as you might get a much more well rounded idea instead of just our opinions on them.

or if you just buy one then you can be the first to give feedback and let us all know. :hump:

Here you go. This is a grow using led's that is complete crap, a waste of money, and the guy who did it will tell you they are crap and a waste of money. I repped him, and he wrote me an email stating"that is why I did it, to save everyone a buttload of money"
https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/45296-full-led-grow-room-aeroponic.html
If you dont believe me, email him and see. I am sure he would be more than happy to tell you that they are a waste. Please dont ever assume you know more than someone else, it is trifling.

Read the thread anyways, it is funny.

Ron Burgundy was the BALLS! Just so you all know.

Buying and trying to use LED's in my opinion, (AND I MAY BE COMPLETELY WRONG) is the same thing as buying Legal Bud and trying to get high by smoking it.... A complete waste.

How now brown cow. Unique New York! A whales vagina.

You stay classy, Roll It Up.

No led that exists mathmatically has the intesity needed to compete with the small amount of usable light from a HPS (i.e. the red and blue spectrums).

There is Math behind why LEDS ARE SHIT!
