Go with 20/4 or 18/6. When lights are off cannabis produces a growth hormone called auxins. These auxins accelerate stem and root growth. Without a healthy stem and root system, you will not produce as much bud.

i guess if my OP shouldve been titled RIU community grow, if i expected you guys to walk me hand and hand thru each little step, it would be a community grow. right? it wouldnt be called my grow, since you guys had such a helping contribution in it.

I think I'm going to have to step away from this thread, but I will leave the most useful bit of knowledge I've ever received on RIU. READ READ READ READ READ about how to grow, plant function, soil... EVERYTHING. Read until your eyes hurt... Then come back with a good basis to prove you've earned your help. As someone else already said, I feel as if we are being trolled here...Or just dealing with someone who wants everything handed to them.
I'm not being an asshole, as I'm a newb too... But you're a totally different breed. Research should be your second job, and if you're not willing to do it, you deserve the same unsuccessful first grow the majority of people have.

I'm stepping away for sure dude! Top you are obviously having a hard time with people helping you out! You are a noob and it's insanely apparent, it's honestly like you didn't do any research or prep before your grow, hence the Styrofoam cup and putting all of your seeds in that one cup. Your going to need all the help you can get I suggest you start taking it gracefully.

ok man, soory for the poor attitude. i admit i didnt do my research before, which i now regret not doing because i am exposed to you guys who have way more experience and knowledge in the cultivation of these wonderful plants. and i just look like a total idiot, but i must say i appreciate it ALOT that you guys really took the time out of your day to help out a noob. I really do appreciate your advice, and appreciate you guys being able to tolerate with me not knowing even the right questions to ask, and still replying to me and i really do appreciate you guys welcoming in to your community like this.
im in my first grow but i read the grow bible from front to back to start with. then i just read forums about 3-4 hours a day for a few weeks. if you have a problem you can usually google it or search it on a ganja digger or on these forums and usually the question has been answered. as long as you seem like you have done some research and have an idea people will help you along. if you have questions you can even ask me in private messages if you dont want to make a thread.
So far my grow is going fine but that could take a turn but i had my whole grow all the way up to harvest and curing planned out before i germinated my first seed. theres alot of prepwork to do for a first grow and you will always be learning more. Consider growing like going back to school and taking an online class when your first starting out if you do not have anyone to talk with irl which alot of people do not and like to keep to themselfs irl much safer that way.
