Detroit. Good idea or crazy as hell?

I know this is off topic considering Gagetown is in the middle of nowhere, but an elementary school just sold there for 10,000. The guy that owned it used it to play basketball in the gym because it reminded him of being a kid, and just decided to sell it. I could think of a very good use for all of those rooms. Fuck, $10,000, that ain't shit for a school, especially that one.

Who said the Zombie Apocalypse hadn't happened yet? They were definately wrong.Wow - never heard of that company before... eerythings 4-6k. I like the house in Boston Edison.Maybe theexpress will be the nightwatchman for you while you're 500 miles away. :-). Incredible prices, makes me wonder what they picked them up for auction... still it's worth the few extra Gs just to have someone else sort thru them for you.

I read about it. They buy the foreclosures wholesale. It sounds like a decent program. Watching the testimonials really makes it sound like
some shit I don't want to deal with though. lmao.
theexpress is in chi town I believe. I have thought about that too.
Here is one I had Belle go check out yesterday. http://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/19445-Keystone-St_Detroit_MI_48234_M39494-94277?ex=MI551444125#axzz2PWPUldYq
This shit is just ridiculous.
Was she able to go inside the house and look around?

I would have to imagine that some of those places going for 5k-6k have to be in pretty bad shape inside the house.

most deep bargains need plumbg elec (skip foundation-issue places unless disposable grojo) and major fortification. REO, or bank owned have a few tbat arent trashed. really almost mandatory to have 'tenant' in there. vacants are eventually a prob, but i don't think it's as bad in lansing or jackson. all depends on immediate neighborhood too. - will check out listing trying go get to Jtown while it's light, wanna see a few listings 10k+. lmao

She didn't go inside any. The $38k house has quite a few interior pics. I would get a house like $25-$50k to live in and then
start buying all the vacant lots and crack houses in that neighborhood after I'm down there. 7 1/2 and Ryan/Mound isn't a good area IMO cuz the
majority of the houses are tiny. I like the Morningside and East English Village area better. Close to Grosse Pointe.

For that kind of money you can get a place north of 9 mile. Last year the house next to me sold for $17k. I should have bought it. The stupid cheap houses got bought up though.

The freedoms allowed south of 8 mile are priceless. lmao.
Unless you are murdered, then I guess there is a price.

Glad, after living in paradise, you will be profoundly sad upon moving into hell, I mean Detroit. It will never ever ever be an ok place to live again, its over, stick a fork in it.

enjoy the fresh air and wildlife brother.

Never responded to this for some reason. As someone who has been growing in Detroit an around Detroit for a while, I have to say, I you're from here and you can Blend in to the right neighborhood, you're fine. If you're not from Detroit don't even try it. Trust me, it's not for you..

I am alway surprised when i go out to the east side how different everything is...it barely seems like MI..(i'm sure detroit might say the same). All i can say glad is it isn't always what it is...its what it looks like..and if you got a trap house looking grow expect to get treated like a trap house grower. The idea is temping though..
