Citizen Bubba's law abiding grow box

So, the smallest plant in the cab is male I'm pretty sure. I'll give it a few more days and see. Thinking on it, this is not a bad development. I know I designed the cab to flower 3 plants, but with the plant limits, it makes more sense to flower two scrogged, have two mothers and two in veg. It even works out that I can use the 3rd LED in the veg cab along with (2) 2' HO T5s that I have laying around for the mother chamber. It suits my need for symmetry

I think that I have found a sativa Snow Goddess pheno.... it's growing like nuts. It was 17" on 3/29 and its 24" today... An inch a day and its only the 2nd week of flowering. If this continues, I only have a week and a half of head room left in the cab before I have to get creative lol. The base of the stem is at least an inch in diameter. They are sucking down 2 gallons of water a day from the Blumats... and there is never any water in the drain trays.

Thanks to you all for helpin me get this far

she'll slow down in a week, maybe 1.5, so you should be ok. if needed, you can always bend the top over (carefully, using light finger strength and slowly bending until it goes over a 90deg angle. done right, it can increase yields too) or pinch the top - either way will slow it down some.

another thought if it's a male and you end up with only 2 in the space - use one the LEDs in between the 2, but firing up from the bottom/side to increase light penetration into the lower canopy that is now getting massively shaded. or start lollypopping them (trimming the lower fluff branches away, leaving a few mains that are getting the majority of the light needed for bud growth) so that you get more primo top end bud vs. lower end fluffy buds that the bottoms always produce

What strain is the one you believe to be male? I may want to rehome him for you....
It's 303seeds Snow Goddess, here's the lowdown

Mother Selected Goddess Kush by Cabin Fever Seed Breeders
Father Ski Train
Genetics Selected {(Fire OG Kush x SFV OG Kush) x [Chem D x (Loompa's Headband x OG Kush)]} x [(Arcata Trainwreck x Super Silver Haze) x Pakistan Chitral Kush]
Grow Difficulty Moderate - Some experience recommended
Sex/Seed Type Regular - Photoperiod
Phenotype Sativa/Indica mix
Indoor Flowering Time 58-70 days
Germination 95% Tested 2011

The Goddess Kush mother has the most amazing strawberry watermelon bubble gum flavor that you could possibly imagine. Loompa's Headband and Chem D completely change the terpene profile of this kush, and we think it is the best tasting and smelling plant we've come across in some time.

The Ski Train male leads this beauty into a complex citrus snowstorm. It is such a wonderful combo that you can't go wrong with any of the pheno's found. Some will lean towards the melon-berry bubble gum Goddess, some towards the sour citrus Ski Train, and our favorites: the fusions in between.

Cannabinoid testing shows exciting results for the 303 Seeds Snow Goddess. The CBD profile is very strong, allowing for maximum pain relief and analgesic benefits without the overwhelming "high" associated with many of todays cannabis breeds. This can be perfect for the patient looking for a great tasting medication with lower levels of active THC and high levels of the coveted cannabinoid CBD.

A plethora of some of the most coveted genetics in the world currently, this is our most demanded patient product. Crystal caked, liquid sugar sweet with tons of mixed fruit terpenes, the Snow Goddess truly lives up to her name. One kiss and you'll be hers forever!

Thanks ec, I'm with you on the lighting. After I posted that, I was thinking that there is no reason to remove the 3rd light. I'm going to leave them as-is and position the 2 plants between them. Then, I'm going to put 4 to 6 CFLs underneath :weed: After all, I'm not an LED purist, just a dude looking for a low-heat system that works.

for heat load/penetration, instead of CFLs, maybe consider a single/double 2' T5. same heat load roughly, but better quality light and deeper penetration

We, my roommate in culinary school and I, made several set-ups using cfl's, (the big ones 56w) reflectors, big moving boxes, Rubbermaid tubs, thermal sheets, fans, the whole sha bang. We spent about 250 on environment. Ended up chucking the cfl's for a 2' x 2' T5. Also allowed us to get rid of the the fans. FUKUSHIMA KUSH, QURAZY RUSSIAN, SPACE TRAIN, ALIEN BOMB, SPUTNIK, COGNAC KUSH and MOUNTAIN STRAWBERRY were all bred with this set up. We also flowered out sour d, moby dick ii, lavander, qrazy train several times before I moved and the op was shut down. I still use T5's to this day, although now there 4' and 8bulb units and I have two. I love how bushy they make the plants in veg. I used to run a mh 250w but I quit using that after I saw what the T5 that we used in the springs was capable of. Btw the T5 from the springs cost less than the cfl set-up did, so there's that too...

Thanks guys. I was going to use the CFLs because I already had them... actually I installed 5 of them before I read your comments, but like you said, light penetration wasn't great and all the cords made the box look too ghetto... So I went to WTG and picked up another 2' T5 (already had 3 singles) and put them in the corners of the box. I think that once I yank the male, I will add another 2' T5 to the back wall of the cab in the middle of the 2 plants and one possibly mounted on the door in the middle. Looks better huh?

I think you'll be way happier in the long run with those T5s, and so will the girls :) for the one in the middle, I'd consider mounting it horizontally (if there is room) at the mid canopy level so that it covers that whole mid-lower area with light. you can see how well they penetrate in those pics on the color variation on the sides (more natural looking colors vs the LED 'pink' in the middle and the shaded areas in the middle)

Elbow room :mrgreen::weed::bigjoint:

I plan to add a few more lights. Two single T5s horizontal on rear wall and two CFLs @ the front wall. Temps are no worries. Even with the 5 CFLs going last night it didn't go over 76*F with the fan running @ 2/3 capacity.

Ok, one more pic. I added (4) 23w cfls in the middle area. Will probably still add the T5s horizontal on the back wall. Had to turn the fan up to keep temps under 78*F.

Adding Soy Lecithin to the oil .
Hi Bubba , thought I would post this over here so you don’t miss it , 420 Circuit found this about
Soy Lecithin , The part about lowering bad cholesterol while increasing good cholesterol , I’ve always had trouble with bad cholesterol . But it does several other good things also ? Could do a side by side test , one with and one without .

Lecithin is approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration for human consumption with the status "generally recognized as safe." Lecithin is admitted by the EU as a food additive, designated by E number E322. Research studies show soy-derived lecithin has significant effects on lowering serum cholesterol and triglycerides, while increasing HDL ("good cholesterol") levels in the blood.

looking really nice! for feeding, will you be going by PPM readings (meter) or off the nute chart? if using a meter, I'd start @300-400 and give it a couple days to see how they react, then go from there. if using a nute chart, just starting to feed I'd start @1/4 strength of what they are recommending, wait a couple days for reaction and go from there. are the stalks green or red/purple? green = good, purple needs feeding (generally a lack of P/K)

Thanks ec. I don't have a meter, so I guess I'll go off the chart. I have some liquid bat guano that I got free at WTG and a whole slew of packets of Roots Organics stuff that I got free from HTG. But I see folks talking about compost teas, would that be a more wholesome way to go? I see Buffalo compost for teas at the vitamin cottage during my weekly pilgrimage for RO water... they put it right next to the water machine lol.p

The tall girl's stalk is straight up purple/maroon, but it always has been, the other is mostly green. They seem über healthy. Thanks so much for everyone's help so far. I'm off to do my homework on organic feeding (but would certainly welcome any further advice), should have already done this... but I think subconsciously I never believed I would be able to grow mmj in a box lol I will definitely start with 1/4 strength, thanks for the heads up on that.
