3 weeks into veg plants only 12" tall, normal?

Hi guys, I've been vegging various clones for a while now, I feel they should be bigger by now. I'm an amateur grower but I'm usually at 18" by now. The only change I've made this time was to top and LST.

With LSt, it will cause them to be shorter going into flowering unless you extend veg time by a week or two. My current Northern Light grow vegged at 12 inches and they are 3.5 feet right now so some strains will still grow up nicely after the switch.

So you can safely get them up to 3 foot and still get plenty of penetration.

Sso if you veg them at half the height you want them to be you should be fine.

So you’re looking at flipping them to 12/12 when they get to around 15-18 inches.

If you have Sativa’s in there too they could almost treble, so you have to watch out for that.

Topping will slow them down for a week or so. They are in pretty big buckets add more time for root development. They should start cranking right off. Looking good!
