flowering different sized plants??

whats going on? I had one mother plant under a 400w in a 2x4x7 grow tent. Then i took 6 clones from it and now I have 6 smaller plants in 7" pots and one huge mother in a 3 gal. I want to flower soon, but I dont think the 400 will be enough for all the plants. Especially because the one is so much bigger than the others. Should I try to flower it along with them? or buy another light and flower it separately? (trying to avoid buying another light bc of $) and I dont have much faith in cfls. ditch it and keep the 6? put it outside? I'm just trying to figure out what to do with it.

That could be a problem, your mom will easily double after 12/12 and make it hard for the little guys to recieve light. My advice would be to purchase a t5 for >$100 so that you can veg and flower seperately. Its a good investment for your setup.

I had a huge variance in sizes of mine this time. Turned my buckets upside down and stacked them until they were even with the big. Better than using your next 60 days to flower 1 plant imo

That's a lot of plants in a 2 x 4 grow area, assuming they are medium plants.. With the 6 and the 400w you have ideal conditions. If possible seperate the mother and grow her outside like you mentioned you could do, otherwise your veg times are going to be wackey also. That's what I would do and by the way, your plants look mint. Peace

thanks for the replies guys, i do appreciate it. I agree that its too many plants for the 400. I will take the larger mother plant and try to flower it with some cfls in a separate closet. i know cfls are a bummer :/ still looking up more info on clfs and deciding which bulbs to go with. its an experiment i figured id go with just this once, i figured its better than putting it outside i guess. after looking into it, im looking for 2700k temp and 8 x 26watt or 4 x 42watt... i believe? all the specifics are really annoying and hard to find. ill have to go to home depot or target soon. im not trying to order them online. i dont want to use cfls but some people swear by them that theyre cheap and efficient. anybody?

I use CFL's and aside from the good points about power saving etc they are a real pain in the ass, Because of the lumen flux or something(I'm not entirely sure why) you have to have them real close to the plants(1-3inches from the plants). The 2700k's can get quite hot and do emit a fair amount of heat, so when ever someone says "CFL's = no heat" ignore them, they are either trolls, clueless or just idiots. The 6400k's(veg) do not produce as much heat as the 2700k(flower) bulbs. So I would recommend going with a 70/30 ratio in favour of the 2700k.
