How many lollipops do you think I can grow in my little Aero Tub??

I have a cabinet that is 20 inches deep, 30 inches wide, and about 60 inches tall.

The air is sucked through a filtered grate in the bottom of the cab, pulled to the top, sucked in through the carbon filter, pulled through the ducting, over the cool tube, and out through the back of the cab and into the wall. The temp in the room that the cab is in is about 71 degrees all the time. I havent measured the temps of outgoing air but i should check

We are flowering at night and temps usually will hit 80 at some point. During the day though with lights off it never goes above 71. I have heard though that a 10 degree difference isn't too bad? Maybe i can still work on it to get it down a bit more when the lights are on.

And as far as the every 2 weeks thing goes...What do you think about having 2 plants that are 2 weeks from being done in the same tub as two newly rooted clones? Would that not be a problem since they all need different amounts of nutrients? If its do able that would be effin sweet to have plants done every 2 weeks The excitement would never end!

i just posted an idea like this.

if you get 2 plants. either they are females or you find out they are females early. clone the tops and 3 more likely spots and root in the empty AG spots.

let the females re-coup from the cloning and the clones root.

switch to flower and harvest all when done.

should be less stress on the AG with only lollipop type clones and 2 small mothers.

lots of water consumption. would need to add every 24 hours when lights come on.

actually, to maximize yield for the AG i suppose you should get ONE FEMALE of good strain.

top it early to get 2 or 4 top colas. clones those into the empty AG spots and lollipop everything until harvest.

that might be the bestway to utilize the small size.

any comment AG users?

It all sounds good buuuut I am not using an AG. I do however like the idea of starting two new clones every two weeks. If I could pull one oz a plant that would more than keep me in supply...I might even have too much! omg! well in that case I will just cure it bad ass...and stick it in a jar for 3 months or so for the smoke of my life. Yeeeeeeah. (insert cool smiley with sunglasses and a J)

BUT it would work with your tub. same idea. make female, clone into extra spots and harvest lollipop buds.

I really would like to try another strain...like Jack herer...mmmyummy or anything diesel related. I got some stuffs once that was supposed to be a diesel strain of some sort. I had previously read articles on NYC Diesel and already had this taste on my tongue of what I thought it would be like...from what I had read...oily pungent taste. Well it was not quite what I expected but whoa it was amazing...fucking a+ flavor and a+ high.

BUT, once I start my perpetual harvest it will be tricky to mess with seeds anymore. I also do not know anyone that grows around me either, so clones are out of the ??. Maybe ill try some femmed seeds. What's your take on those? I almost bought the Arjan's Haze #3 Femmed but decided I could not wait 10 weeks for flowering on my first go

I must be getting too stoned because I did it again! I wrote out a post...put in pictures...all that good stuffs...and came back and it's not here!

So let's try again

This is the picture update I promised the other day of my current grow. They are looking good I think. Two of these little babies are starting to show some privates and I think one looks like a dude and one is more than likely a little lady

I also have 6 more to go so hopefully I have a couple more ladies out there.

After this flowering cycle I will be starting my Aero tub perpetual flowering and since I will need to have 2 large clones fully rooted and ready to roll in 7 weeks time I am considering pulling my best looking female and re-vegging her in a seperate cabinet under some flouros to make her my mommy. The only thing I don't like about this idea is I could end up picking the wrong lady and have another one that really puts out! Oh yeah, and the fact that I will potentially be losing a good bit of bud by removing a plant. But, oh well...it's a sacrifice I have to make =(. I will never do seeds again, and my chances of picking up a clone are pretty much zero, so I will have to choose wisely

I have actually already picked her out...if the one I am looking at does indeed turn out to be female. She is the one in the fourth picture. The other one showing sex (seems to be male) is in the next to last picture. That plant was topped a while back along with a few others. Look how bushy ohmagoodness...

So the plant I was looking at DID turn out female well...I see female preflowers alll over the place...except this one that looks like a little ball...but I doubt it because it is the only one I have seen so far. With all the stress I put these through when they were young I am veeeeery afraid of any hermaphroditic action....Will wait for tonight's lights on cycle to be 100%

Also turns out the plant I thought was male is indeed. I took him out bc I am 101% sure about him but I wanna practice taking some clones from him. I also don't think it would be a bad idea to hang onto some male breeding stock if at all possible. One day I would like to flower one of his kids and grab some pollen. This male plant grew crazy bushy, fast, and vigorous. He also has been stinking something fierce since about week two! So yeah, I wanna hang onto his legacy

I've got a busy day today with the building of a cabinet for my future mommy plant so I better go get started!! Here's the pics! The first one is that stinky ass boy, and the second is the BEST shot I could get of the vag...kinda blurry though

Congrats on the lady! That little ball thing you see on the female is probably a seed pod thing, which is normal for females. Just keep an eye on it. I wish I had the room for a separate veg/clone cabinet. Lucky! Lookin good

So the veg cabinet is all put together. I will post pics later, i'm out right now.

I have another question though for the brainiacs. I pulled my male and put it back in veg, is it ok to put the female in the same cabinet and let them re-veg together? Or is there any danger of the male still trying to throw out some pollen and the female picking it up? In my head it seems safe, I just want some opinions if anyone is willing to give them!

i could not count the number of balls on the males. massive. strong bushy plants as well from the AG/DWC

Yeah they have only been in flower for 5 days. And yes, the male is painfully obvious. All the nuts have those little stringy things around them like in all the pictures. And on the female I see these two tiny hairs coming out of the calyx.

True, I guess why take the chance. I really just want to hang onto the male for potential breeding stock later but I will wait until I have a basement and can run with the BIG boys before messing with breeding . I guess I am lucky enough to even be able to accomodate a seperate cabinet for moms and clones.

So tonight I will be saying goodbye to my little boy and the lady will have the whoooole cabinet to herself for a solid 5 weeks until its time to cut the first two clones to start my Aero SOG Perpetual Lollipops!! Hopefully 5 weeks is enough time for her to recover and be ready to put out some clones. She will be directly under 6 n:vision 23 watt 1,500 lumen bright cfl's...i feel pretty good about this.

Also when I get home I will post up some pictures of the new cabinet and the little home made carbon filter I made for the smell. I don't expect a vegging mother to stink too awful bad so this little guy should do the trick. Pictures later! Come on back around....10:00 pm US Mountain time.

Mmmmmkay I finally got home but instead of taking pics right away I decided to do some more work on the mom/clone cab. I finally pieced together a sort of carbon scrubber too!

So there is one of those inline duct fan pulling air through this carbon filter and out the back where it hooks up to the other cabinets exhaust and ends up back in our a/c intake zone

The picture of the plant not in the cab is the male I cut down. Sad times

And....oh yeah I thought I would fill you in on how I made the carbon filter. So I found this candle holder thing that is made out of metal and happens to be 3.5"...the holder is cylindrical shaped...and has a metal wire wrapped all the way around it up and down...but there are gaps inbetween so there are a buuuuuunch of slits.

Next I bought a...dammit...oh yeah hepa filter replacement that is made from activated charcoal....and I cut a piece of it, folded it over 3 times, and wrapped it around. I put some 4" clamps on it. One flush with the bottom edge to seal up the leaks, and the other up top to connect it to a short section of 4" duct which connects directly to the 4" inline duct fan. Aaaaand you can see that in the picture too

I was going to paint the inside white but with such a small space and low lighting I think I will put up mylar all over the inside. I think my mommy plant will have to be lst'd in order to stay in that space, the bottom will have to be used for clones. Lucky for me I only need 2-3 at a time I am thinking about getting really blazed with some chips and using the insides of the baggies like some stoner on here said they did hahaha. I wonder if I could use a roller brush to brush on some elmers glue to the back of the mylar...that way I can keep it lookin nice, more durable...flatter...more even...all that good stuffs. So tomorrow may be a day for serious funyun munching.

Thanks! Yeah flowering is fun...it's hard to be patient though!

I have my lights on during the night when I am sleeping and off during the day. It was hard at first not being able to look at the plants all day but now I just can't! It's better for me though, I get more accomplished that way

Only problem now is that I have a mommy/clone box to look in whenever I want haha. Oh yeah, its definitly a problem...lemme tell you about it

Anyways, thanks for checkin the grow. I still have 6 more plants in the flowering cabinet doing their thing. Problem is a few are rootbound and I am hoping they will show sex soon so I can transplant the ladies and ditch the boyz. My plants are getting rootbound like crazy!! I see some pictures on here of huge plants in tiny pots and I just don't get it. Maybe Hindu Kush just has a large root system....check this picture, its madness!
