You would know that just because a bean sprouts, doesn't mean it will be a keeper plant.
The odds of finding something worth keeping with 2 beans is very unlikely, possible though.

Before this thread gets locked out, can someone explain why a retailer should be exempt from resolving customer issues just because they are the "middle man"? Almost ALL businesses selling a product manufactured elsewhere are middle men per se. Along with it comes the responsibility to satisfy the customer of any issues concerning their sale unless specified otherwise (All sales are final, no refunds, WE DO NOT GUARANTEE GERMINATION, ect). If I have a problem with a product I bought at Wal-Mart, do I have to go to China to get the problem resolved? No. The "Middle Man" is responsible as part of his/her cut. It's all part of doing business. ATTITUDES posture concerning bad seed is legit though because one should not germinate the seeds, and they specify that as a condition of the sale. Period. And to pursue issues involving germination would also jeopardize their business. I mean geez, it's splattered everywhere. But the justification that a business is merely the "middle Man" should not exempt one from resolving an issue of a product they sell.

In general, yes, because in general, the middle man sells a legal product. It's as simple as that. The Attitude, as you say, clearly states their policy, which is the ONLY way they can exist. Any rationale buyer knows and accepts some risk is part of doing business.

Got a couple of seeds form The Attitude there a week or so ago. They didn't germinate and look like they are starting to rot. I paid over the odds in my opinion for them and wasted valuable time on them and they send me this message back :

"We sell our seeds for souvenir purposes only and for storage in-case the laws change. We at ‘The Attitude’ are here to help, but we have our restrictions. We cannot, and will not discuss germination/yields/THC levels (etc.) of seeds, as it is ILLEGAL to germinate seeds in the United Kingdom and most countries and we cannot be seen to be promoting this. Unfortunately, E-mails may be ignored and remain unanswered if questions relate to the above and you may be refused a sale should you persist in requesting further information."

If they don't sort this out they deserve a slating!

Had you taken the time to look into the attitude, you would have seen that this is a common issue. Seeing as they'd get shut down for dealing with failed germinations; that's a bust waiting to happen. Were this market more legal, your complain may have more validity. You can contact the breeder. Many get results through that route. You can't walk into a regular head shop and bitch about how your new nail is making your hash taste funny; they'll show you the door fast as shit. Don't play the game if you don't know the rules. After 20 years, you should know this.

I feel where you're coming from, but that's not how it works. With the current legal environment; it's just too damn risky.

That's apples to oranges. A seedbank is closer to an appliance dealer. If your fridge craps out within 90 days, then you call the manufacturer for a warranty repair. You don't call Sears and complain; they'll tell you to deal with the manufacturer.

Bad example since within a reasonable period I can return anything I want at Sears, as well as any reasonable retailer. The shorter the return policy or the worse refund policy is inversely proportional to how successfull that retailer is in the market place. In fact Sears has been one step away from failure for a couple of decades.

While this may be true, it's the closest approximation I could think of. Most places have a cutoff of 15 days or so. After that, it's on the manufacturer. Either way, nothing is going to be a perfect parallel, as cultivation is illegal in most countries. I'm sure you get the thrust of my point, though. Ask Marc Emery how far the Federal Gov. will go to extradite your ass for selling seeds for cultivation. Better customer service will be had from middle men as soon as they won't risk federal lockup for it. There's a lot of breeders that seem to have a good rep for replacing genuinely bad seeds. The higher profile of a larger company like the attitude makes it almost impossible to not get shut down for overtly supporting illegal acts. Like any other illicit activity, it comes down to one thing though: You pay your money, and you take your risks.

It's not attitudes fault. Complain to the breeder or a least go about it in a different way. I just popped 21 seeds from them and all are healthy not 1 didn't sprout. And even if none of them had sprouted its not the distributors fault its either your fault or the seed companies fault. If you want to complain to attitude say something like I got some nonviable seeds from so and so if you could contact them and let them know the problem that would be great. But what you did was be an idiot and say exactly what they tell you not to say which is I germinated these seeds and they didn't sprout... They can get in trouble if they acknowledge that they are selling seeds for illegal purposes.
