I think you wake and baked a little hard and aren't seeing the whole picture here, buddy. No need to be condescending when someone is asking how to properly fix a mistake they made! Mr. Marijuana, have you ever had heat problems in your garden? Did you know its colder at night and if you are bringing in air from outside to cool your lights it makes a DRASTIC difference in your temps to have the lights on 12/12 during the 6 pm to 6 am hours instead of vice versa? If this is the case then you really need to look at how you approach handling people, dick. The OP said he is changing his light schedule due to his new work schedule.this is ridiculous, if i ever heard such a thing. Changing your light schedule becuase it runs into the night. the only way this would be a problem is if your plants were exposed to outside daylight during their dark cycle, If thats the case then you really need to look at how you set your room up
EDIT: my mistake, missed the work schedule thing,
I think Sand knows whats up! This is how I would handle this transition as to reduce the total amount of stress on the plants.OK... I think the best way would be on the day you switch, you give the girls 6 light, and 18 dark...
Then on day two after switch they get a normal 12/12...
Get it?
Don't give them more light on day [24 hour period] of switch...give them less hours, and you will be fine....
Good Luck man...
Ya I like to be home while they're running for feeding etcthis is ridiculous, if i ever heard such a thing. EDIT: my mistake, missed the work schedule thing,
Exactly correct. 12 / 12 is ideal because it always for the "flowering hormone" to build up for the longest amount of time and then allow the light to utilize that "flowering hormone".It is actually the dark period that signals the plant to flower. You can leave the lights on longer as long as you keep 12 hours of dark.
