What do you mean?
I was just thinking about how since I started RIU back in January how it wasn't so organic driven. Now it seems like everywhere I look everyone wants to go or is going organic. Maybe it's just the threads I'm involved in idk. I've smoked org and chem side by side and couldn't tell a difference. To each their own, I just really like the simplicity of throwing a scoop of jacks in a jug of water and moving on. I like the price too ;) It's definitely far more fun to watch everyone with their brews and natural concoctions than my method though.

Well it's Herb Mans First Grow in Soil and even though I didn't stipulate it from the start, I guess one of the reasons behind me committing to growing was because I wanted organic herb to smoke.

I was concerned when I thought the early desert like conditions had stunted my plants and picked up some Miracle Grow when I was next out shopping.

After a couple of doses, I thought do I really need this? No.

At that point I realised that I wanted to stay as organic as I could with this grow and see what kinda results I get in terms of quality of product and yield whilst keeping it organic.

So I'm documenting that journey.

I understand that some people prefer to grow with chemicals and that's their choice to make, but I wouldn't go into a chemical growers thread and try to mock his use chemicals.

Before I do that I would just leave the thread, without trying to leave a negative post.

Like I said from the first post “Everyone with positivity, questions, helpful observations or just curious about growing, is welcome to come on in and leave your comments”.

Your original post fit none of the criteria.

This style of grow wont be for everyone, but rather than leave a snide, negative, unhelpful comment in someone else’ grow journal, it’s best to just move on.

So all I can say to you is happy growing and good luck, but please don’t post in this thread anymore and your offending post has been deleted.

Thought I should add that there is an OBVIOUS difference in organic and non-organic!
I was unfortunate enough to find that out the end of the week..

Look at the difference in the color of the ashes as well.
Organic smoke burns ALL WHITE. Go buy a bag of good bud and the ashes burn salt&pepper/white and black!
Maybe you can get white ashes with a really good flush w/ a chem grow, but organic doesn't need a flush.
You can use AACTs all the way up to the end!

And if you like the price of bottle nutes Dr. G, WAIT till you see how much money you DON'T spend growing organic.
You can go water only start to finish without anything. Put everything in the soil ahead of time.

The use whats left over to make your own "big bloom" and "grow big" and whatever else bro! I'm telling you.

I'm talking no taste left in the mouth other than whatever the genetics call for, white ash, no coughing, "did I just hit that" smooth!

It ain't hype. It's the real deal.
Grow shops about to be going down across the nation unless they adapt lol!

Organic has my vote tho all day bro and you can't fail with all the good organic growers on RIU!

I concur, for a first time Urban Farmer like myself, I just made sure that I had a good grow medium mix, picked good seeds and that was it, just add water for the most part.

Got some Bat Guano coming this week in prep for my next grow, but I'll no doubt tip some in on this batch give them some extra nourishment down the finishing stretch.

It might put an extra pep in there step :joint:

Lol. ^

Anyway finally remembered to get some Molasses today and picked up some shelving to go in the grow tent.

The ladies are looking very well.

More of that in the up date, Week 6 of Flowering, tomorrow.

Alright so it’s week 6 of flowering and the ladies are approaching full maturity.

They will be leaving home soon, but I’m making additions for my next grow of which they will get a little taste before harvest.

Bought an Ionizer supposed to have beneficial effects on air quality.

I like the way it reduces the lights-out odor from the tent.
