I'm now thinking Monday is my target, there is just too much "clear" among the trichomes(though they are all beginning to lengthen their "stalks", I'm waiting for the "bulbs" to plump!) and I'm also going on a trip this weekend... I'll be leaving the lights off and the fans on for a 2 day dark period and I'll see what she speaks when I get back...

She's come down last night as I found some dead buds from mold... I remember having a conversation about a month ago why it was important for me to add more fans for just such an occasion... 4/7 main colas had at least some mold. I'd ought to heed my own advice one of these days. Overall, the light works well. The excessive blue light literally destroys leaves if plants are too close/for too long. First, the color response and if left unchecked, darker colors/dead foliage. The coloring/onset of color seems (to me) different than a plant turning purple because of genetics.

In order for me to utilize a LED fixture I bought a while back, I need to supplement light during flowering. It's a 4-spot modular type LED that pulls around 130w. Per module:
7 x 660nm
3 x 630nm
3 x 10000k
1 x 5500k
1 x 2700k

In hindsight, there's obviously things I'd have customized differently, but that isn't the point here. I plan on using this light as my "main fixture" and it will be supplemented heavily by WW (peak further from 660/closer to 630). I feel as though 2-3 WW panels would be the addition I'm looking for. Total power consumption a bit more than 200w.

I'll have a weight when I get back next week. This time reporting wasn't exciting, more like facing the music hahaha! I hope it was at least entertaining/someone learned something. Thanks for sticking around, friends.

If you increase number of diodes to 25 (5 x 5) you will automatically have a Merkaba, and a potent one at that! Pretty please?

I'll have to get some wider heat sinks, or get smaller pcb or learn to reflow or.... I do like the 5x5 stagger though, I like the intensity of modules but I'm looking for more coverage so I can convert to a sea of green method. I will use that Chinese LEd fixture to keep a mother once I get started and will construct 2-3 panels to start and hopefully finish with 4 total. My goal is around 200w total power draw from the lights and a nice uniform environment in my 20"x36"x5'4" tent. I am unsure about sticking with Crees XTE or getting some Osram LEDs and running 'em at 350mA, my whole problem with the Osram LEDs is sourcing and mounting them. This is all, of course, after I put those panels together, til then... My odd colored LEd space ship will do...

Didn't we have a conversation about poontons earlier around here? Anyway Hilo if you need a warm white poonton just PM me. We got a shit-ton of them on the mainland but shipping one to ya is gonna be a bitch. Think she's got enough wavelengths for you?

Hilo, you mean mounting the oslons to stars is the problem?

I have a source for oslon mounted on stars that i could dig up for you?

Or: learn to reflow. Its soooo soooo sooo easy (seriously like easier than using an iron) the only things you need are clothes iron and solder paste, which is quite expensive, i went with EDSYN CR44 on i think guod's recommendation...literally will last for a billion projects though.

The weed is dry and weighing in at 11.1g. Fluffy secondary nugs/the tops were nice and solid golfballs (those that weren't eaten by mold/most of my heavy nugs were eaten alive or at least partially...). The buds themselves could have went for a few more days but such is life! Everything about the results have been fairly dissapointing/lackluster but like I mentioned much earlier in the thread- I don't feel as though those 28w were even close to their potential. There are a myriad of things that went wrong, from the reveg start (way too many heads) all the way til I couldn't get my lazy ass to hook up another computer fan... but we'll make next time much better... I'm the kind of guy who knows better but still needs to make the mistake in order to learn. The only thing that surprised me (after crying in a corner about the weight/pouting) was the potency of the weed. I kind of discounted the possibility of it being decent weed... I don't typically stop smoking a joint until my fingers are burnt and I'm chocho-lippin' that roach but I found myself putting it out early cause I couldn't remember what the fuck I had went outside to do (which was to smoke weed lol...). If nothing else, I'll enjoy some more of this before I go to sleep rather than before work... Thanks for sticking around, those of you whom do!

EDIT:I won't be starting another grow for a while, but you can trust I'll be back with something much better and also much BIGGER! I am staying the DIY route, btw... Hope to see you all in my next shit show!
