Never heard of them over the years.
Yeah sucks to hear. I purchased seeds from him a handful of years ago and always intended to do so again but never got around to it.
Sent him cash in an envelope and he sent me seeds. Seemed pretty trustworthy to me.
Are you sure it is the legit highgrade seeds? I remember some time back someone made a copy-cat site and was ripping people.

could be, there was one that seemed pretty infamous, took a lot orders and sullied the real HGS name
Yes, have ordered from them b4 many times without a hitch for about 6 years and know their site well. Oddly, they have long been a very good seedbank and are exceptional breeders as well, had recently acquired a contract to carry TGA's gear and had exclusive rights to perhaps the only close-to-true old school Kona Gold genetics avail online per the infamous Ice Shark, "reviewer to the stars". Am stumped and due to their long standing solid rep am also inclined to think there's more to the story yet to come out.
There has been quite a few people lately claiming that hgs ripped them off,as of today their forum has been shut down with a note to be opened soon,the forum there has been slowly dying for over a year,some still think that hg will still send out the seeds owed to customers but only time will tell,the genetics I bought there were pretty good and would still buy if there were no complaints but once a customer is ripped it's hard to regain the trust .

The forum is back up, which might be an encouraging sign, but the complaints are still there...on the forum, unanswered. I too was wanting to try some of the their strains but it seems it might not happen. Oh well, tons of other choices out there!
Good news for highgrade seed fans,Highgrades is back up and running,it seems that he was hospitalized for 6 weeks,he left this message for the forum members today :Quote:Have been in the hospital for the last 6 weeks. My GF has tried to pick up the slack in the orders but she is only able to do so on most weekends and orders are FAR behind. I am sure there are many here wondering WTF happened. I dont blame them. Not so fast ..yeah letter explains it .but not good enough. Talk is cheap. Bet those money orders and other payments were cashed without delay. When you conduct a business, a International one at that.That's huge AND SOUNDS LIKE LOADS OF CASH A fail safe system should be a priority. Almost a year later and they still don't respond. and you can't find anyone who has received their order as of late.. don't send them a penny. I would bet they are going down for the count with your cash. I Wish I AM WRONG.
Thing is they long had a solid rep that begs a less likely ripp-off scenario. Almost a year with no response? It's been a few mos. And word has been getting around that orders are being filled, but they are very overwhelmed and understaffed with many who jumped ship, and so are still slow at getting up again.
Edit: It's also not likely a ripp-off owner would bother to send out apologetic and reassuring emails to stall off some legally impending recourse or to dupe out a few more orders from skeptics. He'd just take the money and run.

YOU DON'T MEAN PLACING THAT ORDER WITH HIGHGRADE-SEEDS DO YOU . DON'T. and I believe you can't anyway.I went to order only to see if they would respond, they did not.. the smoking sites and or seed bank review sites are full of people not getting .. their money back or their seed order. For that matter not even a e-mail.. T hey were very reputable for years, but all the bad that came from them in the past year is unrepairable.people's trust has been lost.

Yeah, I go on their forum from time to time because I liked the reports on some of the strains, but it really appears that HGS is defunct. It also appears that any money for orders since January went into someone's pocket. Time to move on.
