I never saw anything like this before...You?

Overnight, one of my little girls (hopefully) developed a strange coloring on just one leaf. Only half of it turned yellow (see below). Should I be concerned? The pic below is from the second morning of this coloring. Rather peculiar I'd say. Anyone else ever see a single leaf colored this way?:???:

As always, thanks to all you fellow growers for your invaluable input.:leaf::clap::weed::hug::joint:

4X24" sunblaze blue spec T5 bulbs on 24/7
Dual Auto-Pot system
Coco medium
"Ionic" Growth formula nutes mixed as directed on label
28 days old

At this point, there are 2 plants per pot, I started with 4 in each & culled the herd down to 2 per pot. Hopefully I'll end up with at least 2 ladies (crossed fingers).

looks like its growing healthy just keep an eye on it if more does it check your nutes and water ph temp hum ect

edit: its not nessary to grow on 24/7. 18/6 works great too. and saves on the bills when pulling watts

Thanks for the reply & your input :peace: . The consensus is that I shouldn't worry at this point, so I won't :blsmoke:. "She" is doing just fine and hasn't added any more yellow leaves, half or not. The 24" T5 bulbs don't burn much wattage, so I should be OK there. The nutes are seemingly doing what they should with the other plants (see below). So, unless something scary happens  , I'm gonna let it ride. Thanks again for your input and here,:joint::joint::joint::joint:;-), those are for you both--Share nice now  . And before you say it, yes, I'll be adding white to the walls this weekend. Didn't forget, just thought it not necessary until now.

Man, they really shot up over the last couple weeks! They look great especially with this being your first grow!! I have seen that leaf thing before ut only a couple of times, it's not a deficiency but just weird growth and nothing to worry about

Hi there, I've just joined this forum, and i'm a beginner grower, but i do know that it could be a very bad idea to keep any more than 1 plant per pot, as you run a very big risk of getting root bind, which will seriously effect growth and yield. If it is that you want to keep it the way it is(for space issues) , then it may be worth considering putting some sort of screen down to the bottom of the soil to keep the roots apart
Also if you leave them that way, and they do get root bind, then they will be stuck together when it comes moving them to a bigger pot...

Thanks for the responses. Yeah, they are really starting to go now, gangjababy. Actually, those pics are from late-in-the-day on the 27th. So you should see them today , WOW. The consensus is that I shouldn't worry unless it continues with new growth or spreads, so, I won't worry at this point. And as to the 2 plants per pot, you're right, FunkRoyale, I should have only one per pot, but when I thought about it before I started, I didn't think about the possibility of root problems :dunce: . And I will not be re-potting the pants. I was told by the Hydro store that these "AutoPot" systems will be sufficient size for full growth as long as nutes are being absorbed into the plants, and boy are they...drink drink drink constantly. At this size they are going through about a gallon a week or so. The idea of separating the growth with some type of screen I had thought of when others said the same thing you did, but it's too late at this point for this grow. Again, first timer and learning as I grow. I will improve, but I am forced to continue as I am with this grow, I don't want to throw out my little kids . I have planned all along to remove all but 1 plant from each pot as I find out which are female when I put them into flowering stage. And at the beginning I thought about root tangle problems, so the plan was to just cut the stalk at the base of the males. When I removed the 2 smaller of the 4 plants, I just pulled out the whole plant with no problem. The Coco is great for ease of root growth and they get a lot of water w/nutes and air through the medium, it's great stuff. I hoped that the roots wouldn't need to be real big so I could grow the way I started. So far it' seems to be OK.

It's been a couple days and there IS new yellow growth, again, strange pattern (see below). I just painted the walls white, that's why they're out of their room and the wife :hump: is getting hair done . So I had time to do stuff. I also topped the kids today (fingers crossed I did the right timing). Anyway, what do your experienced eyes think? It seems like everything else is good and the rest of that plant looks healthy :-? and the other plants show no affect. So I'm still not gonna worry too much just yet. I'll just light something :joint: and see it takes my worries away...for a while anyways. Let me know what you think--Thanks

I don't want to sound like a broken record but in the FAQ there are some pic's I saw the other day that show all the problems & remedies....good pictures...you have to solve a problem quick once you establish that there is one.
Good luck

I very much appreciate your input and I did go there to see if I could find this particular malady. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it. Yes, I saw yellow leaves of different types, but nothing was as inconsistent of yellow display as mine. Please don't think I didn't hear your advice, I did. I just maybe missed the right pictures. So I will again look to see if I can find this display. If you see them, can you let me know where? Thanks again Twistyman.:joint: Maybe I just have a morph problem...maybe :eyesmoke:. So they'll be a lot like me :lol::lol: :bigjoint:bongsmilie:eyesmoke::joint:.

UPDATE: I just flushed the kids with fresh tap water and cut the nutes down by 2/3's. The malady is still going on  but still with just the one plant, but "she?" is also the the fastest grower. Maybe that plays a factor in this. Now that I've been watching her for a while, she also displays symptoms of "nute burn", at least that's what I surmised from the pictures in the FAQ section for nute or ph problems. See attached pics & give me your feelings. :-? As you will see, I topped them 2 days ago, so most of the growth is bigger leaves. I should see something change from the flush and nute reduction in a day or 2 and I'll post findings then. Thanks in advance as usual. :joint::peace:bongsmilie:bigjoint::weed:
