Thanks Baka, I think I am gonna go and pull her in few days...seeing how I was really pleased with the high I got off the undried/uncured bud that I smoked earlier today, I imagine that it would only get better after the dry/cure process + I got Plant 2 still growing along nicely, and I figure I can let her get real full of amber trichs If I wanted (she's easily got another week or two left in her )!!!

Honestly the high is going to be determined by the strain, terpenes and things like that, not by the trichome color like is commonly thought. The trichomes are actually best harvested for peak THC when 90% are cloudy with a few on either other end according to the marijuana bible and some other sources I've spoken with.

But everybody has their theory.

Gonna chop Plant 1 on Saturday morning for sure...got pics, but I'll load those in another post. I was going to hang dry the buds in the same closet that I'm currently growing in, however Plant 2 is not ready to be harvested, and the area has to much airflow/light (based of what I've read at least)...so, I went ahead and created a little drying area on a $10.00 budget + shit I had lying around! Also, this way, I figure I can move the buds to a darker/cooler area of my house so that they don't dry to fast and stuff!

On another note, just picked up some of my favorite buds in prep for the holiday...the strain is called Grape Ape, and I love it so much! Anyway, Here's pics of my make-shift dry area, I'll take any tips and advice!!! Thanks Everyone.

btw, the fan is extremely low powered and is pulling air out of the box...It is nearly 100% dark in the box when sitting in my room, and I'm gonna put the whole box in a dark closet anyhow!! Oh and there are a few little holes poked out on the other side of the box (opposite of the fan, for air to enter)...I hope this wasn't a waste of time to make...feel free to chime guys!!

Do without the fan!!!!! Just hang them. As long as the temp is not hot and the humidity is under control, just hang them.
You don't need the fan unless you're hanging those EXTRA chunky buds!
I don't use the fan anymore when I hang mine and the end product it 10x better bro!

Jsut a bit of advice!
I did what you're doing already..With a box and a PC fan. It dried the buds TOO fast!
Just wanna save you the headache

If it's on thing you DO NOT WANT, it's for you buds to dry too fast!
They'll smell like grass/hay. Took me three harvests' to get it together!

"mostly' dark for drying is fine, not critical like during growth.
I personally would do like Since says.....
air moving will more than likely dry you TOO fast.
you want a slow dry, with an even slower cure.

Awesome, thanks guys...the fan has been removed! Harvesting her tomorrow morning, right before the lights go on...I'm not gonna mess with the whole 24-48hr dark stuff, just gonna give her one last 12 hr night before I cut her down, and I couldn't ask for a better day to do it on IMO!

Good luck man, I don't want to spoil your excitement, but with big harvest comes the dreaded long trimming........
Not as bad as the long waiting I suppose, but damn, I hate sitting there clipping, sorting, clipping, break time, shot and cig, change channels, another shot..........

Ya man, as a mechanic, I always had plenty of both, but you can get cheapo latex from the $ store, or go to the auto supply store or Lowe's/ Depot, and get higher grade latex ones for around $10-15/ box of 100.
If you opt to get the Nitrile ones, those are cool.....
I used to put on a pair of those in the morning, work, get them greasy, and when I had to go chat with a customer, I could spray off with brakleen, or dip in the solvent tank, even wash with hand cleaner at lunch, then go back to work.
The latex ones, if you use any type of solvents on them, will puff up like a rubber in zero gravity.
