Any1 ever use it? what are your opinions? and what should I add to it to make it much better?
Who makes pro mix? Home depot or lowes has it? how much is it? and just use pro mix + kellogs that's all?if you mean Kelloggs patio plus then yeah i definitely recomend. i just mix it with pro-mix, throw in some worm castings and its actually a really affordable mix that works well. a little bit woody, but its not too much. use it
my lowes doesnt have promix, only my local hydro shops, and good idea about making your own promix, I considered doing it this year but after a little more research found peat itself is quite acidic, unless mixed with lime and given adequate time to adjust it wont do. If you have a few months ahead of time to try and regulate itll work, but not on short noticelowes has it, 45 for 3.8 compressed cu. ft. or you can make it with peat moss, perlite and spray-n-gro coco wet. i like to add some screened compost, earthworm castings, bat guano to make it a little more rich
yea was gonna do this to cut costs but didnt have enough proper planning and time this year. always next time thoughyeah i think it's 5.4 or something. ive done it a few times, same thing as pro mix. i just take apart the bale abit and put in a 5 gal bucket let it sit for an hour, mix it with mud mixer, drain the water, throw in a good amount of lime and refill with ro. and let that sit for an hour and then drain it and let it dry in the sun on a tarp used to mix soil. its $43 to make 5 cu ft of it with a lot of left over lime and coco wet if you use it
I'm currently using Ednas and it's great. I use it straight out of the bag. I've done the same with Fox Farm Ocean Forest, just straight from the bag. I start my seeds directly in soil and have never had any problems with either on being too hot or anythings. I've used Kellogs for my tomatoes and peppers in the past and can't see why it couldn't be used for cannabis as well.Used it last year mixed with native soil and got pretty good results ....
This year im trying ednas best organic potting mix mixed with promix ...hoping for better results this time
That's the answer I was looking for, thanks ! Not looking for the best shit around lol, just good enough.hahaha. kellogs patio plus works just fine by itself, but is better when you amend it. its good shit
