Leaves falling off and changing colors

Hello everyone....

Can anyone tell me why my leaves are turning this color and falling off in the 4th week of flowering.
Hydro is the way I'm growing and I'm using GH 3 part series combined with 1 teaspoon of blackstrap molasses into one gallon of nutrient mix.

because your pumping them full of bloom nutes which are low in nitrogen. N keeps plants green. It also looks like maybe a cal/mag def. Are you using r/o or distilled water?

Molasses is used for feeding microbes in organic soil, so i would stop using that

thank you for your respond Mr. Ganja.
I figured maybe it was a nitrogen difficiency as well since they are turning that color.
However I wasnt sure if that's what it was or maybe spider mites.
Reason why I say spider mites it;s because some leaves were losing it;s green color and started to show some white discoloration.
Two days after the discoloration they started to turn yellowish and this is where we are at.

Believe it or not the molasses made my buds get fatter. However it;s quite possible it may have caused this problem by locking out N.

N may be low. I give a quick grow boost of N when that happens. and they green right the fuck up! Good Luck!

The plants think it is fall and are starting to drop their leaves. Check to see of there is a annual calendar in your room. If it is on the wrong month, say October, and the plants can see it, then the plants will think it is fall and begin to change color and drop leaves. This happened to a friend so he changed the month that was showing ( January, Duh ) to June and the plants reverted to vegetative growth and all was well again. Thought you'd like to know.

like chuck says, the blooming fert you've been giving them is too low in nitrogen. you'll need more N if you want to keep more leaves. the more leaves the better the harvest. GL

Not, No way, it isn't possible.
Reason why I said that it;s because the minute I added molasses to my soup mix on the third week. The buds really showed signs of life.
Now was it the molasses or maybe it was time for them to flourish like this.

Chuck is probably right about being too low in N.
Any suggestions as to what I should do.
What mix would you recommend when using 3 part GH in week 3 into flowering.......Maybe Lucas formula?

It definitely wasn't the molasses. I asked earlier, but you didn't answer, are you using r/o or distilled water?

Did you get it fixed? Looks like low n, nute lockout, ph, or cal/mag if using a clean water. Mites are easy to identify even from the bare eye. They cause little spots on the topside and are clustered on the bottom of the leaves. Get a microscope off eBay for 15 if you need, also comes in handy for trichromatic inspection. Are you using a ph pen with Ed/tads?

Hey chuck,
Maybe it wasn;t but it felt like it was since they flourished in a matter of no time.
I'm using tap water and usually wait a few hours for the water temp to raise to 65 deg F since our water is so cold.
I then add my micro, bloom then grow and Ph it at 6.0.

Well I'm in the flowering stage and maybe this is normal for leave to look that way.
Then again...I think not.

Anyway my plants are very far from a calender......
Are you serious about this ?
I started to laugh when I read your post but anything is possible

I will try to boost the N and see what happens.

Fisrt thing I will do is flush the reservoir and change my formula by adding more N to my soup mix.

any suggestions as to how much I should mix.
I'm using GH 3 part series

The one dude was messin with you on that calendar shit, lol
personally, I just started using nothing but veg nutes start to finish and am seeing the best results without any problems. The whole bloom food thing is just a scam as I am learning very quickly.

dgp......No I haven;t fixed the problem as of yet.

Those particular leaves that Have turned that color had purple stems before getting to this stage of yellowing
Maybe it's low on N like everyone says because i;ve also added some epsom salt to help with mag deficency.

As for the mites.....I used a powerful magnifying glass and verified the leaves with a microscope @ 75 x and didnt see anything.

yes i'm using I'm using a Ph pen but not sure what you mean by ED/tads.

In my experience all plants yellow during flower to some extent. It seems to differ on how much by strain, I have occasionally taken to feeding grow nutes on week 3 or 4 of flower cycle to combat this on the plants that seem they will be hit the hardest. Generally though I just leave them be, the flowering process in nature occurs during the fall when the leaves would turn yellow and fall off naturally and I honestly think that is the same process we are seeing.
