extreme pruning 2 weeks into flowering (pics)

I see... so u want to make ur girls produce bigger colas instead of a whole bunch of smaller popcorn size ones. How fat can one of those colas get when using this technique? Do u need to grow several plants to produce a deccent amount? Might try this myself but personally I worry that pruning that much will over stress them and ultimately kill them.

This one will be a bit interesting and you will find controversial as I ran a similiar test about a year or so ago on this site beginning when he plants were aprox. 8" tall taking any leaves shading a growth tip. I learned lots including just how controversial this topic really is. Subbed abd ++reps for making the sacrifice. Here is the link if you wanna see some "previews of coming attractions"

Have you ever thought of doing low stress training with the extreme pruning, look into it. it is worth the effort. I just harvested off my first two plants I ever grew and pulled a total of 88 ounces wet weight, hoping for 21-22 oz's. Here is a pic of the final results.WP_004031.jpg

what in the world did you do to those poor girls

pruning is one thing that would have been fine if they were smaller but at that size you didnt need to chop that much off you just cut your yield in half

You should get all big juicy buds no stragglers on those plants for sure...

normal lolipopping is only the bottom 3rd of the plant, interested to see what comes of this.

In my experience about half the yield :(. I have not done it to that extreme, but have experimented, and always the untouched plant did better. I make hash so the smallish buds are great for me. I usually do all topping and trimming throughout veg but have stopped touching then when close to flower as they seem to get stunted. Good luck though, great to possibly sacrafice the crop in the name of science :), I will be following!!!

Thanks for all the comments, I'll keep you posted with pics about once a week. I know this is controversial, that's why I needed to try for myself. It was hard to watch my friend mutilate my girls but hopefully it pays off.

Yeah, imagine the size of the colas if this works, should be quite impressive, i lolipopped mine but not too extreme, only about 1/4 of the plant was stripped, takes some balls to do this though...

Subbed man, I had to chop a decent amount off one of my plants and im just hoping to get a huge nug and maybe some small ones at this point.
Will be looking forward to your results.
