The market is quite well aware it's paper manipulation and doesn't reflect actual demand. Some folks have a vested interest in keeping it way down. It is massively underpriced. Silver is even more so.
gold is not underpriced. it is simply Priced.

the fiat dollar is overvalued though and teetering for a tumble.

i anticipate more rises, and the general upwards trend since the 1940's to continue. how high will it go? better to ask "how low can the dollar sink?"

glad I bought actual gold and silver on the cheap....before the price explosions
Lol!

Now youre stuck with it. Silly fool, gold is exactly the same as fiat currency.
It will soon be worth zero. Silver will be worth even less.

You'll have to pay people to haul that shit away for you.

That's why I keep all my savings in the Vietnamese Dong.
My Dongs are always rising, even with little to no stimulus.
I'm Long on the Dong, it's got staying power, and the market is only Extending.

Many say the Dong is Short, but the Dong can Sustain many Positions, without falling.
As a precaution i make certain my Dong Holdings are protected against any market's Contagion, and the Dong has not let me Down yet.

Too LONG, did not read version,

The Dong is Strong, and it can Go All Night.

also, penis.

If you were able to read between the lines you would be able to tell that I'm making a prediction.

Wow what is happening to the price of gold? Imagine if we were on the gold standard. We would be destroyed economically.

By CHRISTIAN BERTHELSEN, DAVID WESSEL and GREGORY ZUCKERMAN

Gold posted its biggest one-day percentage drop in 30 years Monday as new signs of a global economic slowdown emerged and fears diminished that central banks' easy-money policies would stoke inflation.
Gold futures for April delivery fell $140.40, or 9.4%, Monday to a two-year low at $1,360.60 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. That extended their bear-market descent of more than 20% from their 2011 all-time high. Since Thursday, gold prices have declined by more than $203 an ounce, a record skid since the futures began trading in the U.S. in 1974.
Poor Cheesey. You can't just can't hide the dumb. Compare the value of gold against the US dollar over the last 100 years.

The dollar isn't an investment you're supposed to hold on to for 100 years; it's just a means of trading present value. The only cash people should have sitting around is what they need to live in the present and an emergency fund; all other cash should be invested, whether in physical or financial assets.

Dookie,

That table doesn't quite do your narrative any good. 125 years of a stable dollar.

Gold may not be perfect, but it's been around thousands of years. How well did your ancestors do hedging Confederate dollars?
