Any one got any info on this? now I'm not trying to dredge any conspiracy rants up so lets keep it civil and too the facts. i enjoy conjecture as much as I'm sure the rest of you do, but this one is really close to home and doesn't feel as sensational as the rest of the incidents.

This guy has some nice quotes about marathon buying up homes in the area as of late and are planning a 2.2 billion dollar expansion in the area.

I knew this guy once....... This guy was planning a remodel on his house for about a year. i talked to him several times about the subject as he asked my opinion about various building materials and whatnot, more boasting about his plans then anything. well right about the time this guy planned on starting the work. a small fire broke out in a part of the house when the family was away at church i believe(nice alibi) and well you guys know the rest of the story.

sooooooooo wuchyall think?

Am just going to say.. it was a refinery fire, probably due to lack of standards in preventative maintenance and is pretty much normal for most things in Detroit.

The immediate surrounding areas which is known as Oakland heights have all been bought up by marathon had an aunt that lived there the paid them 100grand to move out for 5 thousand dollar homes so the area around is basically empty they are turning it into a green zone or buffer zone for the refinery.

refineries are nasty business and accidents are just part of the job. Good thing they are at least buying up the land around it.
