Hiya guys and girls just thought I'd post a couple of pics of my first grow ...I have had a few mad moments with rock-wool pH and run off pH but now settling at res 5.5-5.7 ...rock-wool 5.7-5.9..runoff at 5.7-5.9...
Any advice will be greatly appreciated ...also my EC is at 1.00 sometimes drops to 0.08 . They are just over a few week old from seed big bud XXL went into root riots on the 9th and the train wreck on the 14 ...5 train wreck in plagron bat mix other 5 in drip system which is old got it off my bro he grew yrs ago....other 4 big bud in same drip feed there the first 4 in pics..oh my flower room aint finished yet gonna put a zipper on the black n white and use it has a door got an 8inch can carbon filter and 8inch system air extractor to deal with smell and an silver bullet air deodorizer both in attic blowing out under cold water tank ...so hopefully will cool air so helicopter don't see my impression of early Xmas lights lol ...anyone tried anti flair wall coverings??? expensive i know but looks worth it if it truly works...anyways any advice ? feel free and thanks for taking a read ...:-P
Also i wouldn't of got this far had it not been for the great info on RIU....:clap:
The plant with two in is a little plant one that shot up out of the seed casing that was attached to the main plant .... some pics are not to clever but best i can do for now ...The little plant all screwed up was to close to the 400w mh...l bless her ...

Yes i washed it but not good enough has its leaked out a fair bit but full res change sunday so all should be clean...

I also made the mistake of not soaking the rock wool for long enough also and it had me busy for quite a few days sorting PH ....Ive a long way to go yet but thanks i shall make sure i give them a good soaking next grow...Are my ph levels ok has they are or do they all need to be the same???...Thanks for viewing :-P

PH is critical to the plants ability to uptake nutrients and additives. In soil PH should be in the range 6.0 to 7.0, in hydroponics PH should be in the range 5.8 to 6.2.

In recirculating hydroponics PH rises as the nutrient goes around the system so some schools of thought say you should start the PH lower at around 5.5 to allow for this. In a perfect world you would adjust the PH every day or so to 5.8-6.2 but if this isn't possible starting at a lower PH around 5.5 in recirculating systems would be a good idea.

I grew that trainwreck and had three phenos all good as hell and Ive said I was going to run again for 3 years but allways run something else.You will like the wreck and the sativa pheno I kept would make your head spin.Their is a nice pheno that purples up...

Thanks for the advice somebeech i just wanted to make sure everything was in order .....and yes tell me about it Ive wrestled them ph's and do keep my res at 5.5 to allow for nut uptake by plants and ph rise ...i used to keep tropical fish lol yeah nothing to do with plants lol but yes discus i kept real hard buggers to please in 6ft planted tank and co2 all the UV cleaners the lot , Ro water all the gear and they was easier to handle than pH for my girls lol....i will admit it had my head in a spin how an hour after setting it to 5.5 in res it was up again at 5.7....i water my soil plants with a pH plain water of 6.5 at the moment to allow the soil to adjust it with plagron saying its 6.2-6.5 but yeah mate i do check on the ph morning ,dinner,night just while it settles into its self ...thanks for the advice :-P

Dale Earnhardt .....Wow that sounds real nice mate this train wreck , sounds like folk have nothing but good reviews of it has a few friends have told me its a real nice smoke and just explodes around the grow room during flower...i know since its popped up its took over the big-bud in speed of growth and size , but bb is on a regular drip feed now so should see some growth spurt soon....thanks for viewing mate....:-P

Anyone got any input on the two plants out of one seed pic ...its train wreck them two...also the little runt plant is shining with crystals lol i gotta get my camera sorted and show you guys ....

Just a quick update!!! changed all my veg room around and got some plastic sheeting and bigger res, All is flowing clean now ...Also re potted the train wreck has its hit the 2wks mark plus one had roots growing right out the bottom... moved light round so its spreading light over all the veg room now....also the air is circulating better for the ladies...They all wave at me when i come in the room lol..:-P

Bit of advice if anyone can help please...My plan is canna Vega a-b with rizo and then into flower with flora and some big bud for a little booster....does that seem OK for my drip feed plants??? my EC is now at 0.08 has i was at 1.00 and it climbed to 1,02 - 1.04 so Ive lowered the EC for a few days to let them catch up with feeds has I'm now feeding 15 min 4 times a day ...I put 15 ml of each a-b Vega and 10 ml rizo into 30 L res...I'm a bit cautious at moment with nutes so any advice would be fantastic....

The bat-mix i dont expect to feed all the way to flower then I'm just expecting to give them a little big bud ....so if some one can point me in the right direction with the train wreck in bat-mix please its the home garden plagron bat mix...

The ones in the bat-mix are in there own little tray at the back so no water leaks into my res from them....

I was just gonna grow them to see what they turned out like ....But yes i can see your point also there just gonna take up room has i do plan on cloning a few of the strongest ones....Ive changed it all round today my veg ....posted some new pics too ...thanks for the advice mate ....

Im not up on Ec and ppm conversion but i did grow a plant in DWC with just rain water for 4 weeks with no nutes!
And no def.At your stage anywhere from 200-400PPM,Remember less is better.Learn your plants and there needs,Is the best advise i can give you.

I know what you saying regarding EC and PPM ...0.08 is 400 ppm on the ppm 500 and 560 ppm on the 700 ppm...yes confusing init i tried reading up on it and failed has its just allover the place for my likening so i bought a blue-lab truncheon and its made life loads easier for me...

Yeppers,you know me it was 50-53 ppm.
It also kept rt with the L Formula plants in my other Waterfarms.

Quick update ....Ive got the co2 being feed at 15 mins in between the fan come in on and off on each hour ....its my co2 night shut off valve guess it will do the job till i buy a proper controller lol....

least there getting a bit extra co2 i guess...
