Great job Brother, bet you made some memories this weekend.
Put in bay? I think it's middle bass or south bass island.U guys that have fished Erie...u heard of an island with bars that caters to fishermen, no vehicles on island...just bars, broads n golf carts ..great walleye. Smallmouth too from wat I hear.
You need to watch the levels in Lake Trout they are the bottom feeders, Salmon should be fine as they are only in the system 4yrs. Big Walleye you should still be ok. Also Brown Trout you may want to keep an eye on how much you eat. Steelhead should be ok.Make sure that if you're fishing near anything close to Lake Huron that you check DNR & DEQ for mercury toxicity levels - near Port Huron, and last I remember.. mercury was so high that you could only have 2 total fish per month as a 'safe' level.. but this was more than a few months ago, it may have changed.
very very cool...... ts gr8 getting the young ones going and seeing there face when they get a fish on.... Kudos for passing it on.....teaching my 8y/o nephew how to fish and the worst thing happened, 2nd cast
now he thinks everytime he should pull out a fish, lol.
My grandfather taught me how to fish and he passed many years ago and it feels great to teach a younger kid how to do the same thing, since i dont have kids and all. But i promised his mother that i wouldnt partake in the herb while i was with my nephew. I can do that.
