Just some helpful insight from some vets here

I am a long time lurker and have used advice from this board many times and am very thankful for all the peeps here with a vast amount of knowledge.

I am an experienced outdoor grower who is trying his hand at indoor. My room is all setup (will post pics after a cpl more posts if some of you want to see it) and as of yesterday I put 56 or 58 GDP clones in 1.5 gal pots with fox farm ocean forest soil. My babies are all nestled under two 600w hps with digital ballasts, set into two Raptor knock offs made by my local hydro shop. Room temp is running good ranging from 74-78 degrees Celsius and I am running the veg on 24hr lights. My room is about 25x10 and about 5.5ft tall. I have a height restriction but there is no other option for me.

Some things I plan on doing:

Defiantly topping - I am hoping that the small pot size and abundance of babies will give me some good tops and some left overs for clones.

Might even do some bending but not too sure on that yet. Might as in I "might" have too..lol

As far as nutes go - I picked up fox farm grow big for veg and am giving it superthrive with each water/feed.

I am an open book for what to run for flower. I am also thinking about picking up some root accelerator and would like some advice on that as well. This is mainly for the seasoned growers who have grown GDP but any input is appreciated.

With the height restrictions I am not sure how to keep the grow under control. Outside we were proud as hell when our tops were hanging over the neighbors fence. :)

Don't veg too long and the height should be fine. Super crop 2 weeks before flower.

I vegged for 7 weeks and kept them under 3' tall. Pics in sig.

Just keep them topped and bent over/lst and supercrop

Thanks for the tips peeps.

Would like to hear from someone who did a large number of plants in a low hanging room as well as from others who have grown GDP. Ive read that its a tough little plant with is what I need for my first good sized indoor opp but my focus is yeild.

Yes superthrive is very potent..only 1/4tsp per gallon is all you need but I swear by it.

7 Week veg seems like a bit much. I plan on pushing heavy nutes in veg so if I go 7 weeks they would prob be 3 ft tall before flower.

Does super cropping stunt the first couple days/week? I plan on topping for a perfect canopy and cutting everything under canopy for clones. Will super-cropping still help??

i would be careful with the grow big use 1/4 strength at first 1/2 at the most. big bloom is something i would pick up as its like a tea almost it has guano castings and stuff in it. you will use big bloom more than you will the grow big. big bloom is the one that you use every time you feed once you start feeding.

Thx mrblue...I usually start my nutes at 1/4 strength and build up with each feed...isnt big bloom for use once you start flowering?? I might go with the entire line of foxfarm but still undecided and have a little time to shop around.

Here is link to try if you want to just try things out for yourself. I have nothing to do with them at all. I just received an order form him. Very professional. I used to have a friend named bosshog. Great skier.

You can buy as little or as much as you need/want. Look at the smaller oz sizes.
Thanks green...I sent him a message and have been in contact....his items are by weight and I have no idea how much is needed for a run so I may end up and getting the entire line....

big bloom is for use every feeding. tiger bloom is the bloom nutrient.
Thank you mrblue..I am going to pick some up next weekend..my little ones are still rooting so only using some grow big.. (very low amount) and a cpl drops of superthrive..quick question - how important is PH? Im running around 7.6ish..what should I be at??

Pics took today. Today is the first day of week #2. Good growth so far.

Yesterday fed 1/2 tsp grow big 2x. Plants took it well and responded with some increased growth. Will do that every other day and will increase the nut as needed. Also going to pickup some big bloom and start at the watering tonight.

Thank you,
Bosshog

I tried a GDP, but it didn't sprout.
Check out my thread in the 'Outdoor' section, I have a Purple Kush and a Sour D. still vegging with heavy LST, born on March 9th.

Try to keep your plants closer to light to reduce stretch and be careful nuting while in FFOF even if its FF nutes , the FFOF will work a whole month without additional nutes only thing you may want to introduce is cal-mag looks good!

Thank you..I am grabbing some hangers to adjust today..what is cal mag..they took the low dose yesterday pretty well and the new growth was very obvious but thank u for the suggestion....I gave them half what the low dose suggests but I deff don't want to over do it

Your ph in soil should be 6.5. You'll be impressed with that site to order from. Great packaging, labeling, etc. Fast as hell shipping.

Next time you run clones make sure you bury the rockwool cube entirely. The cube can over dry sometimes and really have ill effects. By just burying them a little under the soil you can eliminate alot of problems. Other than that looking good bro, keep up the hard work and the reward at the end is never ending my friend. If you're new to nutrients and supplements and building up your collection, check out Liquid Karma. Great for seedlings, clones, and all the way to the end of your grow. Really killer stuff. Good luck, Good grow, Be safe, :peace: out.

Thx mycomaster...I did have an issue at first with dry cubes and lost about 1/3 of my babies..replaced them and now water twice a day until the rooting is done...lesson learned...lol

Goggled that linquid karma..it seems like a catalyst for the plant to better take in the nutes your feeding?? also...they have an 8oz on ebay for $8 free ship..is this a good deal?? looks like you use it during all stages20130506_120753.jpg20130506_120810.jpg

i just got back from the hydro shop and they had a pretty good "looking" kit (aka cheap) of general hydro line...the guy said that it might be enough for the entire run but if not they have all the nutes individually..anyways..look and the pic..i would like to hear if anyone had any experience with these nutes and the outcome please..i
