Has anyone experienced chewing khat?
Years ago, I lived in Minneapolis in a neighborhood with many E Africans. I used to trade them herb for khat. From what I heard, the Halal markets would get bundles of khat sent over with other product. At that time, the local police had no idea what it was and getting it to the markets from Africa was a breeze.

I've shot, snorted, smoked and ate many substances in my time. These days I'm really only interested in MJ and tobacco. If I could get my hands on some khat though, that would be amazing.

It's sort of like the philosophical feelings/thoughts, the insight of ps mushroom but with a very nice, clean stimulant. It did this thing to your vision... I remember my apartment with white walls, when in low lighting/dark, appeared sort of like blue.

I've checked the road quite a few times. No khat...
If you know anyone from E Africa... or anyone who works in a Halal market... ask around. You'll very much enjoy it.

It's really nice. I guess when used heavily, frequently, it can have some negative side effects. My use was fairly sporadic. So, I never really got a look at the bad side.. Great substance though. Completely natural stimulant/psychedelic, pretty rad.

The little bushels are the higher end khat. You can also get loose, little leaf bits, in a bag for about half the price. Sort of like top shelf compared to mid grade/regular weed. it was $20 for a bag. A bushel was $40. I'm sure I was being charged a white-boy tax though.. haha.

A $20 bag was enough to chew khat from maybe 9 pm to 5 am, staying wide awake. Not jittery and humorless like coke though... A much cleaner stimulant effect. A bundle would last quite a bit longer than a bag. The real reason it was so much better was that you needed to chew on less of the bitter, pretty terrible tasting stuff to get the same effect.

You just chew up the leaves then let them sit between your gums and your cheek. I don't quite remember how long the wait for effects was. Maybe 30 mins or so...

I never knew there was a psychedelic effect..just stimulant...there was a seziure in brooklyn a few years ago I read about..that's all I've heard about the khat...hope I can find some
