I had no idea you grew with T5's... I'm actually looking into this, problem I'm having is I can't find any 2' 4 tubes that have 54w bulbs... Only the 24 :/

Here's my theory, The Older T5's have the output of 24-26?
And the T5's HO have the 54-68?

The newest ones, the ones you have, VHO, those can go up to 104w? Or maybe I was just 94...


The reason my theory is this, is because, at HomeDepot they have the 2' 4 tubes fixtures, the HO says their 54w ea, and the older one says 24w ea... Thing is, on the Box of the HO it says in the description that it uses 54 watts a bulb(5k lumens each, 20,000k)
But then in the specifications(on the same box) it says max wattage bulbs 24w and the bulbs are 24w... So I'm confused as shit

No doubt bro! And yeah I used the T5 for flowering last grow and it worked out well for me!
The bulbs are 95w 7200 lumens per bulb.
So it's a 4' x4 bulb rig that produces 28,000L.
I lucked up and got it from Craigslist for $100, when it retails for like $300!

But for the next op, I'll be strictly veggin' with that and flowering with a 400 and 600w HPS!
I need to harvest an elbow(lb) before I feel like I did anything lol.
I smoke like 4 spliffs a day sometimes 5 haha.
So I need 42grams to last me a month...times that by 3 and that's what I need to hold me over lol.

126grams. A quap and another half ounce....

My homie is about to have to take the reigns again lol.
Ain't NO WAY, I'm lasting till me next harvest on the current stash...

Which is the reason I'VE GOT TO DO BETTER!

I think you should hit your local Craigslist first bro.

Use searches like HPS, T5, grow, hydro, garden, lights.

Might be suprised at what you find! Or not lol depending on where you are!

Yeah the problem I have is the heat with hid... And I've seen GREAT results with T5's Veg/Bloom... So imma do that, just switch the bulbs around as need be.

I'd assume you could get a LB off that light... It would probably have to be rooted clones strait to flower...SOG but that's possible... 4 plants to a sqft... Hell ya

Damn straight buddy I'm ready to get my harvest in so I can be smokin like that whenever... these last few months with having to buy and even now i'm mostly smokin my own but all mini buds from the bottom til harvest... can't roll'em up and do it like that... i'm gonna do one later anyway fuck it but gonna be sweet when the harvest is in and i can roll all I want without worrying about the quantity pretty impressed by these minibuds they shrunk up to real small but i got a nice little stack to tide me over and more drying so i may actually make it to harvest... it's real tempting not to lop off one of those smaller, drooping bottom branches... 2 weeks til the first ones'll get the chop

And If you roll one up, roll it up and leave it for a lil' bit before you smoke it. Like an hour or two...
My buds are still hella moist lol. Got another 2 weeks I'd say before I can jar them for good!

And you talk about it being hard now lol, wait until you've chopped everything and your waiting on it to dry lol.
That week is HELL! I spend the earlier part of it pissed off that I can't smoke the buds lol, the middle part pissed because I'm smoking wet bud, and the last part slightly less pissed, as the smoke it manageable lol.

The weeks after that....ALL EUPHORIA hahaha!

We set our timetables for a certain date based on there times. Some are probably ignorant of the fact they are pulling early.

Deferring harvest to a first timer is like putting food in front of a hungry dog and asking him not to eat it, lol, it ain’t easy.

The breeders are are growing in ideal conditions, so they're harvest times are a lot faster than those you'd get with CFLs ya know?
CFLs are DAMN GOOD IMO, but the lack the POWER that you get from HID and the sun, so they take longer to get the job done, although they do so.

Same goes for the weights they advertise too. These are 1000w+ guys. And when you look around, you can check out different site and you'll get difference estimated times.

I like to know the heritage of everything I have, for example, that Dark Star freebie that I got with the 420 promo meant nothing to me until I found out that it was a purple kush cross! That website right there is a gem boss.
They also give different harvest times than Attitude.

And as far as the harvest time goes, it's more of a window of time.
I've learned that indicas can have a 7-14 days harvest window, while sativas can have like a month long harvest window!
This window is when the plant will be offering you it's full psychoactive effect.
You just gotta harvest within this window. Is you miss it, things start degrading and you start seeing more amber, with it the THC converting.

So rather than the dates, start looking at it more like a window. Sativa take longer to finish, so the more % sativa, the bigger the window, and visa versa.
But with CFL or lower powered lighting, it's gonna take longer just because of the difference in light intensity.

But I'm one op removed from being a first timer to be honest! I'm just so interested in mastering this shit, that all I do these days is read things pertaining to the cause lol. Nothing else lol. Straight nerding bro. Locked in.

The figures they give are I believe based on 600w HID lighting.

[FONT=&amp] I use a 400w HID for flowering. I guess it would be nice if they put figures in on a sliding scale, 1000w, 600w, 400w 250w but it's not and ideal world so we just have to grow, keep journals and spread the knowledge.
