Over Fert and Harvest Question

Hey All, made the mistake of using Perlite with a fert in it on the bottom of my pots for drainage.
Now I'm stuck with a classic over fert problem.

Girls are 65 day auto skunk, which are suppose to be a 70 day strain
almost all the leaves are showing nute burn and is starting to get into the leaves around the buds.

Should I harvest now or wait another week on the trich's to start clouding?

Will this affect the taste?

Thanks RIU

I don't see how your perlite could still have nutes in it strong enough to burn.
When you water, do you water to the point of runoff?
How about some pics.
I would hate for you to pull early if you're not even close, but if the burn gets so bad that you don't have any leaves left, she'll take months to finish.

I laid about a 1/2 inch of this crap in the bottom along with rock, one major flush when I noticed it starting, watering every 2 days ph'd water with good runoff now. 3 gal pots, Happy Frog soil with FF nutes trio. Was 1/2 strength, now just water.DSCF1621.jpgDSCF1653.jpgDSCF1657.jpgDSCF1660.jpgDSCF1648.jpg These pics are old, necro has spread

it would take 3-5 days for them to recover, if you knew exactly what was wrong and took the correct steps to remediate. Harvesting might be a more viable option this late in the game.

I've been watching the trichs and they havent started getting cloudy yet,
Will the necro leaves affect the taste?

Don't think it'll affect the taste at all, but it will affect the high. Make it more uppity you know. Unlike w/ amber trichomes that have more CBN which is better for pain and sleep.

I've have flushed once with 5gal v 3 gal pot ph'd water to 6.5, 2 weeks ago
and have been watering every 2 days with ph'd water. Problem has spread, I figure that the root
mass has grown into the perlite, that's why it hasnt gotten any better.

I've got 2 Trainwreck Fem's going without the perlite, but they just got transplanted to the 3 gal pot

I'll get current pics up later today. The flush and lights out would be prior to harvest.

Yeah don't take those down until you post more pics. Bummer though if you do, the buds were looking veryy nice so far :-D
edit: saw your post, guess it might be time to cut down

interveinal necrotic damage on the veins of you're leafs, when did this start and can u remember were, also pic 2,you got a fan leaf showing sign's of multiply deficiencies, how long have you been flushing, cause it would take anything from 4 to 7days plus flushing , depending on a few things of course

Before you flush, is your soil dry enough that it would stick together if you squeeze your pot to break it loose?
Maybe you could empty out some/ most of the perlite?

Exactly... I think your plant has not suffered nute burn, it is suffering from mutiple nute problems [not enough]...
If you flush, IMO, you will make plant way worse...
Maybe this is the dreaded Nute 'lock out'... bad PH, in soil? IDK...
Did you stop your NPK Nutes? and what were they? [number ratio's] 10-10-10 or what...
What would Sand do?
Feed them... what happened, or what did you do, a week to ten days ago...
That's when problem started, not when roots hit bottom of pot, they hit bottom of pot, nothing was there for them [N.04/P.06/K.03], and crapped out...
There is NOT enough nutes in your perlite to fukk up your plants...
Say that again... There is not enough nutes in my perlite, to fukk up my plant, I did something else...
Good Luck !!!

You know, I was thinking that, because that leaf you speak of reminded me of my last outdoor Indica, but I didn't like the dark green all over, like an N overdose.

Perlite is MG perlite, w MG nutes npk .04 .01 and .06.

I cant see where other problems snuck in, using HF soil and FF trio at half strength, worked up to that.
ph'd well water. I keep pretty good grow notes, looking back 3 weeks I was actually at full strength of the trio.

what kind of soil do you have? 3 gallon pots is more than enough for an auto...but if its bad soil and or there is too much drainage your nute will run off and the plant will run out of food...a lot of soils need amendments and ferts after the first month, there is just not enough nutrients to sustain a vigorous healthy plant....

i had the same issues with mine at the beginning of my current grow thought i had nute burn but after doin some figuring i came to the conclusion that i was underfeeding.. granted it is my first indoor hempy mj grow......anyway....after figuring out various nute mixtures and getting a tds and ph meter i was able to fix my problems ...i started with the lucas formula and went from there....so far so good...
now yours is in soil so its a little easier to manage.. just gotta add the ferts and nutes.. try adding a mixture of molasses/root stimulator/liquid seaweed...mix a concentrate of 50% and add right to the soil.. or if you want to take your time and be on the safe side mix it at 25% and spray your foliage... works for me and when i use it to feed my compost teas its amazing on all my out door plants...

No.
Then that is definitely not the case.
I start my plants and finish in MG moisture control with 35-40% MG perlite mixed in.
