You will need to bring in outside "fresh" air and exhaust your warm "stale" air or your plants will not do well. That is the biggest thing you need your carbon filter for, you want to make sure your exhaust doesn't broadcast your grow to the neighbors or visitors :)

Haven't you heard of Texas style sealed rooms???

If you have a sealed room, I sure hope you're supplementing Co2.

In answer to your question OP, no you can't just sit it in the purifier.

You're gonna want an inline fan to run it with. These can then be positioned in your room(high up or on the floor it doesn't matter) to scrub the air within the room and exhaust straight back into the room.

This along with what you have should eliminate most of your smell issue and keep it more contained to its environment.

How big is your room?

You will want a fan and filter capable of turning the air over once every 2minutes approximately.

So if fans in your country are rated in CFM you need LxWxH to equal your cubic feet.

Get a fan and filter capable of doing half your cubic feet of your room to get once every 2minutes.

If it's stinking up the house, the room isn't totally sealed :-) I agree with others. You will need to figure out an xhaust plan.

Well I did what I was thinking about and set my carbon filter just on top my air purifier and it completley almost 100 percent got rid of the smell so if any other people are wondering if just having the filter in you're room will work it will id just recomended having a fan blowing towards it that way the air getting circulated in the room is passing threw the filter some what More like I said I rlly don't want an exhuast in my room cus I want to use co2 and we all know using co2 with an exhuasted room will be just sucked right out the vent so it would just be a complete waste of money to attempt it

What ever works for you, just knw there is a much more efficient way to do that so ALL the air gets scrubbed not just, " completely almost 100 percent " (Could you please just quantify that a smidge?)

But what the hell do I know I am just a stoner
