A few suggestions of some real good kush plants I have seen grown and had the opportunity to smoke.
DNA - Holy grail kush
Reserva Privada- Kandy Kush
- Skywalker kush
- OG-18
- Kosher kush
Tga -Jesus OG

All are amazing and I can vouch for all of them being some very dank bud. My buddy is a kush freak he loves kush but is very picky. I was surprised when he found a keeper pheno of every one of these strains. For my money the Jesus OG by TGA was my fav something very different about it, in a good way. Right behind it is the kosher kush amazing is all I can say.

Just a few options of things I can personally vouch for as great plants to grow and amazing finished bud.

Go with G13 OG Kush. You'll be happy. I have been taking 2-3 puffs every 3 hours since 3pm and I feel great. Super nice heady high. Can cause impaired mental function. Tastes really nice. Kinda weird to describe. Sour musky taste.

Anyone grown out the HSO version of OG Kush? How is that to grow and smoke?
Have not grown any thing from HSO yet, I do have 2 of their bubba kush (free seeds) to crack at some point.
But have way to much im going threw at the moment to run them this year.
Sorting threw 7 strains so far this year to find keeper phenos.
I have not heard much about the company, their genetics or the finished product to be honest.

I will say that if you are looking for a good plant with Bubba kush in it, TGA's Ripped Bubba is real nice.

SFV, Larry, and the Tahoe are the original clone only's. Hate to say it but Cali connections has the closest to the original clone only's that I have seen. Some of other breeders crosses are pretty good, they are just not the original/real thing.
Not saying that different is bad though...I have a kandy kush pheno that looks, smells, and feels just like a good original OG...except it has huge nugs up the whole plant that make huge full colas...unlike the real OG which is a bunch of smaller golf ball sized ones that yields pretty damn low. The problem with the crosses is not every pheno has the pure OG that some are looking for.

Long story short...If you just want the original OG and know what your getting into then CC is your best bet, you'll just have to deal with swerve unfortunately.
If you want the kick/potency of OG but some better growing qualities(yield, sensitivity, resistance) then it can be found, but you have to find that special pheno.

I just popped my last bean of TGA Jesus OG to see how it comes out. I popped the other 4 earlier this year and all males. fingers crossed this time.

Good luck to you maybe try and gerninate the final seed in a cooler spot in the house it will increase the chance of a female.
Had a chance to see Jesus OG grown and had the opportunity to smoke some, I liked it allot.
Its on my list of seeds for next year if I don't get a clone from my buddy.

Yup swerve has the cuts, if you want the closest to what's floating around here in cali I'd suggest some of his regular beans. Most of the stuff listed aabove are hybrids or polyhybrids they won't be like og kush unless you're willing to pop a few packs and find the pheno. As far as I know the kosher isn't even derived from og kush. The og18 is a selected selfed pheno that is selfed againgto make their seeds, the hgk is the og18 x kosher. I'm not saying theyre no good, I have these DNA/rp beans in the collection, but if you're looking for a true representation of og you have to avoid the hybrids.

I am growing Jedi OG Kush

Seems pretty hardy, even after the abuse I have thrown on it :)

this is an hso og kush fem at day 17. stop by my page in the following weeks to see what happens :)
Those leaves seem pretty broad, OG is mostly sativa isn't it (despite being a "kush")? I might be mistaken. I'm wondering BC I have several HSO seeds on the way, including their OG kush and I've been wondering if I need to be skeptical about the genetics. I'm definitely going to be critical on the quality of my plants but don't have enough experience to know which vendors/seed breeders are known to be the best in the game. I'm hoping the Humboldt organization can deliver for me, and am definitely looking forward to how their OG seed turns out. Got a sour diesel from them too, hoping I have some hermie-action later on (all my seeds are female) and can try and produce some head band seeds.

yea, i bought the seeds from herbiesheadshop.com and according to them its a sativa/indica hybrid. she's staying really short so i want to guess that it's more indica than it is sativa. i have og cheese growing too but she's only a week old.
this is my first grow, but the ogk is looking really nice and getting really bushy. hoping for maximum yields!

Yeah, that plant looks totally bushy like an indica, and has the broad leaves too. OG is said to be mostly sativa, but you might be getting phenos from the indica side of the genes. I've heard that chemdawg (the breeder) actually started a bag seed, which wound up so good he named it after himself (chemdawg), and that strain was used to produce og kush and sour diesel. Can anyone else back this up? I think I read this on a seed site about chemdawg seeds. Picked some up in a Denver dispensary once, great bud.

Looking over the various breeders of this strain, I would wager that they judge if their version is more indica or sativa by the way it grows and the length of flower. I only say that because if you look at the various OGs out there, some say "mostly indica" and others indica/sativa and CC says its mostly sativa at 60%. At this point who knows who is right, its like interpreting the bible ;p.
