Worried

It's been about 5 days since I put 8 seeds into cubes and only 1 seed has sprouted 2 days ago. ShouldI be worried?

Maybe I'm being just to anxious. I also did keep them to wet a couple of times. I only want 3-4 plants. Really even 2 for my 1st time would be great.

A watched pot never boils. Relax. They'll either come, or they won't. It's just that ez.

I know, I know, It's hard though after 3 1/2 months of a broken leg and knee. Two of those months unable to leave the house. I've seen every thing on TV 4 times, getting tired of PS3. All I have that's new is watching grass grow!!!! LOL!!!!!!!

somtimes if you move the top soil you will find that the seed actually fell down into the soil so it has sprouted its just deep

I am using those little cubes and you right, some of those premade holes are really deep.
I hope that is it. I'll have to poke around a little.

Well I opened the cubes just slightly and found 2 of the seeds did have these little white specs starting to break through the shell. I covered them slightly so they weren't as deep as they were. Still not a good percentage, but I'll be happy with 3.

yeah they do make the holes really deep in the cubes for seeds but dont push them down that deep. i pushed one down to the bottom and didnt see it for a week, then it finally came out of the cube but still keep them in the middle/towards the top and keep em covered and moist even tho its too late to replace them..

what i do when i germinate is i put all the seeds in a cup of water for 12-24 hours. all the ones that sink will most likely sprout. i then put them in paper towel till their sprouts are about 1/2" long and then plant them into my growing medium.

Im thinking you may just need to have a little more patience since it sounds like you may not have germinated them! :)

Nope I didn't germinate them first, I put the seeds straight into the cubes.
Patients, I know, I've been couped up to long. Watching grass grow has become exciting.

2-4 will make me happy. What happens if they are all male? If all turn out male are they of any THC value?

Well 2 of the plants are doing ok. One of the 2 I split is turning out nice and the other died a nice looking plant just before it died. That was totally my fault it got to worm and dry. That short heat wave we had got ahead of me.

I germinated another seed and put it in the cube and soil yesterday. It had a sprout about an 1/2 inch long. It's about 2 weeks behind the other 2. I will deal with that. I hope it continues to grow nicely.

I'm on crutches and going into the basements is hard. Also I swore I wouldn't become obsessive and be down there fiddling with it constantly. Never does my basement ever go above 80 degrees or below 60 degrees. This heat wave had it close to 90 and dried the soil. I didn't know that because I didn't go down there ONE day.

I found a sprout coming out of the soil with a plant already in it. I know there was only 1 seed in that pot. So not to let it go to waste I put it in a cube and set it in a pot. We'll see what happens. But for now I'm back up to 4 plants again.

i know im a novice but it sounds like you didnt sprout the seeds. arent you supposed to soak the seeds in a wet paper towel for like 36 hours before you move them to cubes? did you just stick them straight into cubes? that may be your problem

The first 4 seeds no. It's My first time too. What I have now looks good.
You can just start them in the cubes if you want. Next time I'll do them all on paper towels.
