Some bud pics from Big Bushy when I fed her earlier. She almost looks as far along as Q-bert. This is day 40 of 12/12. So pretty and such an amazing smell.

And here are some pics of the new arrivals. Three Sannies Jack and two Shackzilla. I think what I'll do is pop the most indica looking in an 11 litre pot after about a week. Tie her down as soon as possible. And then flower her when I pull Q-Bert in about 2 weeks. I expect the Kolossus to go 10 weeks - which is another 6 weeks or so. This would leave the Kolossus having the entire tent to itself for 4 weeks. If I do it this way I can start up a semi perpetual with the others as the Kolossus and Jack become ready.

Anyway, the pictures. They can have their own thread next week.

3 Sannies Jack (stabilized Jack Herer fem) - 2 days old.

2 Sannies Shackzilla (Shiva Skunk X Sannies Jack X Super Silver Haze). 2 days old.

Just watering Q-Bert (little bushy) and Kolossus. Q-Bert stinks of cheese, even more so than any cheese I've actually had here in the UK. I just removed a small leaf that was touching a bud and the smell that came off was like a chemical cheetos/wotsits (delete depending on which side of the Atlantic you're on). Pictures to come later.

I have never grown any cheese strains, but that does sound very interesting.

I've grown out Big Buddha Cheese, Cheesus and Chiesel looking for it. Gave up looking (found a contact for the real deal cut, too much hassle though as a long drive is required). Then this little beauty comes along. The real cut is like really strong smelling sweet skunk - the BB cheese was just skunk, maybe like old skool UK super skunk imo, the two crosses seemed to lean towards the other half of the cross (God Bud and Diesel). This pheno of the Sugar Punch has that sweet cheese skunk to it - certainly to my nose what real exodus cheese smells like. Stinky Girl from earlier in this grow was the same pheno but seemed to have a sweeter expression, whereas this one is straight up cheese.

I have some friends that smoke the real exodus cuts available in London regularly (which is probably hydro grown). I look forward to trying this out on them. :-)

Pictures of Little Bushy - Q-Bert. Day 54 of 12/12. I flushed her today with 25 litres of water, then topped her up with 10 litres of water containing 20ml BioBizz 'Bloom' and 10ml of 'AlgAMix'. I expect to water her once more with plain water before I harvest her. She stinks, so strong.

Looking good as usual :)

I got a Kolossus at day 36 12/12, very slender sativa fingers too, but yours is at least a week ahead. I'm guessing yours started visible flowering about 7-10 days after the switch to 12/12 already?

My Kolossus has clearly more crystals, while at a very similar stage, than my Liberty Haze plants, how does your Kolossus hold up to the SP with the naked eye?

Thanks dude! :-)

Mine did show very early. She actually had pre-flowers whilst still in veg. Was properly throwing out pistils by about day 6 or 7. It's hard to do a straight comparison as they're at unequal ages. But the Kolosuss looks to have more trichs than the SP if anything, but they're not as large and prominent.

Wow! This stuff is strong and trippy. I took a couple of sample branches from Q-Bert (little bushy) on Tuesday, lower/rear ones which were a bit bunched up against the tent wall. 60% cloudy 40% clear trichs.

I've been on the local commercial indica dom most of this week having just ran out of the last batch of Sugar Punch, so my tolerance may have dropped slightly. Just hit my first tester of Q-Bert, about .3g in two bong hits - first hit of the day. Went into town straight after with my headphones on and the first 20 minutes or so was seriously strong psychedelia. You know the feeling where everything is intensified, mainly light and colour, but also smells and sounds - and the emotive connectivity all those senses offer was also enhanced. Very intense, and uplifting - the intensity may not be to the tastes of some, it is so strong that paranoid confusion may ensue.

Its an hour into the hit now, and the common description of sativa highs as being souring fits for this one completely. Sensations sort of like the head rush you get from standing up too quickly, constantly, but at a milder level. Constant and genuine buzz. I was already intending on pulling her at 9 weeks (this Wednesday), I am set on it now. I really want to capture that hardcore sativa effect she's got right now. :-)

Sounds great, maybe a lil intense for me though.
I am an indica guy that is venturing into sativas slowly.

Sorry to hear that man, sounds like a horrible experience. ;) I got 180 grams left and at least 6 or 7 weeks to go till next harvest, which won't include any SP. :( I will miss her.

Q-Bert sounds like a winner, enjoy the ride and flight :eyesmoke:

Ta guys! :-) I seriously love my sativas, although I am an old skool trip head - the psychadelic world is where I like to spend as much time as is safe lol.

And sympathy appreciated Sativied - it was trying, but I am now close to being back in the world of sannies goodness. You have my condolences on being without SP - I hope you have something suitably special to take her place! You have a Kolossus don't you?

Was just sitting in the tent next to Big Bushy as Q-Bert drained and became transfixed by how big her buds have suddenly started getting. Real spears. One of them of 10 inches tall. Couldn't resist snapping a shot. Stinks like straight up berry fuel haze (the chemical smell is intense, strongest chem smell I've had yet) - I believe this is the cut that's getting the name as Sugar Punch, rather than the SSH pheno.

I'm gonna get busy with the kolossus once Q-Bert is out of the tent too. Pop some stakes in her pot and spread her legs! :-P lol

If I open out her structure to account for the extra room in the tent she will bush out another foot square easily, maybe triple that. The buds are already huge, with a quite high leaf to calyx ratio actually. If opened and supported this plant will yield like four normal ones. :-)

Nice cola!
I guess sativas are where the real weight is and not really the indicas??

In my experience that is the case. But then they go that much longer too. The kolossus I have here has sativa looking leaves, indica looking flowers and certainly gets you stoned and not high. She's certainly a hybrid. I think that's where the best yielders are.

Yeah certainly seems to be the case, but, much of that evens out based on flowering time as well. Sativa dom hybrids need about 20% longer than Indica-dom hybrids (very roughly and differs per strain of course), and for that 20% more time you get 20% more yield (again, very roughly and differs per strain of course :)).

I do have a kolossus indeed. She's the only of my 6 that isn't topped, and is pushed in the corner a bit, gets maybe 1.5 square feet of the 12 I got. It's a meter /40 inch tall. As you probably noticed in the supercropping thread I have a stretching issue (especially with the Liberty haze, that's why I didn't top the kolossus, so she could keep up). Because she gets overwhelmed by the liberty haze I had to cut some branches of that weren't going to make it to the light. She's the one on the right in the front, that branch with the bandaid is gone and one or two more. Pic is about 10 days old.
17.jpg
So it's going to be a lot of stem and about 6 main buds, quite the ugly chick but don't let her hear I said that.

I do regret getting the Liberty Haze. Hopefully that will change around harvest time, but I sure would have liked to have my closet filled with kolossus only. The 'frostiness' difference as I mentioned earlier is only getting bigger. The kolossus looks 'lickable' :D While the liberty haze looks like something grown under fluo... ok exaggerated but it does not compare to the frostiness and by now size of the into-bud-turning-flowers of the Kolossus (and SP). I'm very glad with I added the kolossus, else I would seriously starting doubting my setup (first time hydro 'and' first time my diy hydro setup).

Nice post! Thanks for sharing.

The kolossus certainly lives up to the 'Big White' side of its genetics for sure. Properly sprinkled with sugar. Far higher leaf to calyx ratio than all of the sugar punch, but then there is probably more frosting. The smell from this one is unlike most of the kolossus I've grown - I'm used to either a lemon haze or what I think of as a chronic pheno, this one is really sour skunk with herbal notes. She's just started showing brown pistils at day 40 of 12/12 - expecting another 3 to 4 weeks for her (she'll probably get 2 weeks with the entire 600W HPS to herself).
