4271 in play.

I've read the bill more than once and I'm not seeing where it's passage will allow for commercial grows by provision centers or make them the only source of medical marijuana for procurement. I support the bill and have communicated this to my local state representative.

I didn't read whole thing but the above part
sounds ok. I hope there's nothing in the parts
I skipped over banning the growing of meds in
ones own home or any other ridiculous bullshit.
It would also be nice if they threw in something
about making patient to patient transfers legal
or at the very least, making caregiver to ANY
patient or caregiver legal. Of course the people
that paid to get this bill introduced probably wouldn't
be happy with that:mrgreen: I prefer the farmers market
model which should be addressed and made risk free
for all.

I hope they don't pull a Colorado and require cameras in grow
rooms monitored by the government. If that were to happen,
I'd be doing a lot of medicating, masturbating, and pooping on
poster sized pics of BillyS:twisted:

sorry but the people who are in control of this bill, and its writing.. DO NOT want pt to pt or cg to ANY patient. this has been discussed at length. the state people dont want that either. this is effective bans for most of the state and regional monopolies for the rest.

all this can be solved with one line

"any caregiver may service any patient while grow rights per patient, per caregiver stay at 5"

that's kinda early lol. may be worth waking up to be a part of michigan history. wonder how many days this may last?
Someone else will have to wake the chickens up. I'll be out of town.

I understand the committee meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There will be a deadline for public commentary that will end further contributions, but only after having offered a reasonable opportunity for the submission of testimony, oral or written. I don't expect they will hear public testimony this week. When they do, it will be necessary to have our arguments finely honed. What can be done is to approach legislators while there. Track them down in their offices to tell them what you think.

"e) "Medical marihuana provisioning center" or "provisioning
10

center" means a commercial entity located in this state that
11

acquires, possesses, cultivates, manufactures, delivers, transfers,
12

or transports medical marihuana and sells, supplies, or dispenses
13

medical marihuana to registered qualifying patients, directly or
14

through the patients' registered primary caregivers."

oh dear, real organic meds. The more I read it the more I hate it. the word organic and quality seem to be married in the minds of too many people. Its a step closer to legal and freedom of commerce and everything I want to see in Michigan. Don't hate people with ambition who want to make money-if you don't make money I'd like to hear how you eat and have clothes and shit. let it all go nuts and stratify according to ambition and drive. chemicals RULE! hippies drool. organic is bunk! organic what? chemicals people, organic chemicals. The lab can't tell the difference in organic and hydro and bottled nutrients. fact. if you're against selling this stuff in a store then what the hell are you all for? basement growing forever? plant limits? I hate being limited by anything or anyone be it my plant numbers or how far my ambition takes me financially or the number of people I can transfer to. when you pull a band-aid off it hurts. all at once or a little at a time it hurts differently but still smarts. Provisions act is a step in the right direction.

I'm on the fence over this, but what if I told you that this bill was the first step towards commercial entities being the only ones allowed to cultivate and transfer marijuana in the state. Kinda like alcohol and cigarettes. Would you still support it then?

I know it's a leap, but it's not so far fetched. Take a look at what's happening in Canada. California and Colorado aren't far behind imo ..... then MI?

NEVER underestimate the greed of people, and the level to which those greedy people are in bed with our politicians.

I wouldn't support it unless it was structured more like beer as far as "alcohol" comparisons. I don't underestimate anything; look at our SC. I don't think they are interpreting the spirit of the law at all the way voters and drafters wanted. This doesn't mean I'm going to throw the baby out with the bath water...I think I am using that right...and just say no to every law that could possibly lead down that road to exclusive production.

Do you think they will be discussing hb 4271, it doesn't explicitly say, while it does specifically mention other hb's.

That's scary don't want to see that happen. There might be bad caregivers who don't know what they're doing like posted earlier by the guy who works in the grow shop but there are plenty of quality caregivers out there who do know and who should be allowed to distribute their quality meds. There are bad meds at the farmers markets but most people can identify them and move on that's how it should be.

I couldn't agree more, that's for typing all that so I don't have to.

no fence sitting here...

read it..

are you okay with people, "agents" who can transfer MORE meds, possess MORE plants, cultivate and have more rights than YOU. even though you VOTED to have them for yourself and other patients/caregivers.

agents of provisioning centers do not have to be patients or caregiviers and... oh what do they get to PROVE they are allowed to do this?

a piece of paper signed!!!!!!!!!!!

REMEMBER HOW THAT USED TO PUT US IN JAIL!?!?!?!

ignorance has gotten the bes of you if you are growing plants and think you will continue to do so once this passes. homw growing is the last thing the people in control of this bill want. and soon we will lose it much like all the rest.

becasue you guys wont stand up for your rights.

this bill is a nail in the coffin and one more ready to ban half the state and regional monopolies for the rest...

Rep Irwin told me this... well why can you guys just come to ann arbor? or i laughed when he said his constituencies in ann arbor can start delivery models for the people in the north then!
