whoa! lol nope it was a joke man and live in A2 FYI. damn sry for mistaking you for a person with a sense of humor.
It was slightly funnzy mahn... butt f'in (you) w a drum circle is kinda like making slut jokes at a feminist council. I too would guess the alcohol comment triggered, something inside if you, to 'make funny' and attempt to push that funnzy button. this state needs more sacred groups soley intent on healing vibration. plenty of suffering has gone on in our fair state.

Some places you have to leave the ego at the door, knowing when and where comes w experience. it's a circle bro, not a square.

I've been there a few times. I like the scene there, always run into some cool people. Drums are good too, plus food. Warmer weather makes it even better!

been to many drum circles many times. just found the comment of banning any substance from the event at all a bit of an opening for a joke considering the rule comes from people whom are generally trying to end prohibition and restriction on there freedoms. I feel the rule should have been NO Assholes.

good point(s)...

but did ya ever notice how booze tends to quickly make ppl louder, silly, incoherent n occasionally aggressive... seems to be a conflict at a peace gathering. not into prohibition myself, but sometimes ppl think everything is a F'in party and need to be reminded about the different types of parties. The free-for-all will be at your house ok, heh heh...

Is it at 18700 Woodward Buck? Their store looks like it's worth checking out too. I need to try to find a hippie chick that
can handle the clippers anyway, I am there.

There has been trouble with people boozing it up there in the past. All it takes is a few drunken fights to wipe out a cool place to meet folks.

Can I bring my own drum? I have a cajon and a self made wooden rawhide drum I like to beat on occassionally. I just saw that they have a bicycle shop in the works... is this the kind where you pay a fee and get to weld your own creation? if so awesome! been looking for a place to make my dog powered tricycle lol

Drums are a sacred instrument to many cultures , enjoy and listen to the heartbeat of the drum as you once did in your mothers womb , her heart was the drum then and we all are related when said and done ..

Never should Alcohol and Drugs be allowed to be within a drum circle , especially when attending a Sacred Tribal Big Drum ( Grand Father ) .. Mother Nature has no drugs as she produces medicine and nothing more , men make drugs from anything and everything but the drum should too be made from mother earth for its healing ability that no synthetic drum could ever bring ..

I have a nice deerskin hand drum but I live to far away from this circle of brothers and sisters sad to say :(
