Quick, no hassle place to get card in mid Michigan/Ann Arbor area?

Hello everyone! I'm looking for a clinic or doctors office around the Mid Michigan/Ann Arbor area that offers a quick no hassle process to obtain a medical card. I have all kinds of medical issues but dont have much med records due to not believing in "man made drugs" and therefore only going to doctors if i truely think im dying. Sadly most of the medical conditions I suffer with daily were caused by "man made drugs" i was given as a teenager. A recalled drug "Accutane" completely destroyed my digestive system (used to treat acne in teens). :sad:

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Do a search on the web you will find plenty. Try to find a Doctor that actually knows the benefits of MJ. Good Luck.

We require records at all my clinics. There are many sliding scale clinics that can provide you with the records you need to get certified.

Is that like a walk-in ready care type clinic to initially diagnose your condition(s)? ...then get mmj recommendation by another qualified dr. to get the medical card.

good luck. I used to take Accutane along with my brother.

he and I both have some stomach issues with certain foods. and there is/was a class action suit about that drug as well.

They are generally associated with health departments. I refer folks to these income based clinics (generally one in every county) because in addition to medical care, they can plug you in to low cost dental, mental health services, daycare services, etc.

I took Vaportrail's advice and searched the internet more and did find this place that seemed worth a shot. http://firstnaturalwellness.com/ I searched for reviews and the 8 or so i found on them were all positive. Any thoughts?

I thought you now needed 2 doctor recc's but wasnt really fully sure of recent changes and how exactly enforced/active they were. So is this site out dated?

Sorry to hear that you and brother took Accutane Demontrich, that stuff ruined my life....i thank the higher power daily for his gift of cannabis....just sad we get pills pushed on us in first place. :(

In Ann Arbor try First Natural Wellness on Jackson Rd. or Nature's Answer on W. Stadium. The differences are that First Natural Wellness doesn't charge for the re-visit that is required after 6 months, and Nature's Answer does charge, so don't be fooled by the initial fee - check to see how much "recheck fees" are at wherever you are going

ah, thanks for clearing that up bimple. So has the length of time before "legal" changed? Meaning will I still be legal 20 days after sending everything in? Sorry for all the noob questions. I was current on everything a year ago but the more recent changes are new to me and I didnt know how it actually affected the process of getting approved/renewed right now.

I was just curious if this "extra manditory dr. visit" has changed anything with how long it takes to be legal. Sounds like no.

*I used to have my card but moved and didnt have money to renew, nor was sure if could grow anymore until into new place. Im 99% sure this changes nothing for me in the process i must go through....but just incase, i throw it out there.

wont change anything..... Just make sure you send it as a new application if you have a previous card that has expired.

Not so much correcting, just keeping thing very precise. We both knew that but their might be someone that doesn't.

As for the follow up visits, it has always been my policy to make those as easy as possible. I am available, I recommend you come in for a follow up to get the documentation for your protection. I don't charge for the follow ups, as many as you need and whenever you have questions, because patients need access to their doctor and pay extra for the kind of services I provide. I am more interested in long term relationships with the patients (because that relationship is what brings them back for renewals and protects them in court) than a quick buck in a hotel room cattle call.

When in private practice, I did free house calls on shut ins for the same reason. I didn't get paid for the house call, but I got 20 new patients because I took the time to go see grandma and have a cup of tea with her after I checked her blood pressure and refilled her prescriptions. It is just part of the service, and medicine is a service profession.

ive been able to hold 3 cards with no issues whatsoever. i learned everything i know now and all i needed really from First Natural Wellness. got my first card there and ever sense i've been as happy as can be and ive even been able to stay updated on the rules and things as they change would highly recommend them as a first choice. The staff is extremely informative and very patient oriented. overall its a great place that will set you up on the right path to being a satisfied and protected card holder.
